This hotel has had an upgrading of the lounge and breakfast room since my last visit. Decor is bright and pleasing. The hotel is very comfortable, with extremely pleasant staff. The hotel carpark at 8 euro per night is well worth it as all public carparks in central Nantes are very busy and expensive. The buffet breakfast is probably the best Ibis breakfast I have had. Weekend rates are much lower than midweek and if staying on a Friday night the Saturday morning market should not be missed.
Great central location and easy to get to from Nantes airport via the shuttle bus and tram. Disappointed that dispute receiving confirmation of my booking from booking.com two weeks before stay, staff could not find my booking when I arrived. I produced confirmation document from booking.com and was advised that there were rooms available anyway. The receptionist kept a copy of booking.com confirmation. My room was very small and the bathroom was so tiny I could barely turn around in it and found it easiest to leave the door fully open. Fortunately the tiny triangle shaped shower could accommodate me. The risotto ordered in hotel restaurant was so hot after being heated with microwave it was difficult to eat. I showered and flopped into bed as I was quite tired the first night of my stay. On the second evening I returned early enough to watch TV but had to call a member of staff to fix the TV as it wasn't working. Also noticed that the bad was badly made, quite scruffy in fact. I was surprised by how scratchy the bed was after I had showered and struggled to go to sleep. At 02h00 I called reception to complain about the bed, was offered an alternative room but could not face lugging my large case around. I accepted a new set of bedding instead. After I remade the bed the scratching stopped! I wondered if I hadn't noticed scratching first night because I fell asleep so quickly. I had to change to another hotel the following morning to join friends arriving from USA for birthday celebrations and was relieved to check out. I was surprised that I was charged for three nights despite cancelling the third night when I checked in. The adjusted bill was only a few Euros less than original booking and when I queried it, the receptionist stated that I was charged the booking.com rate for each of the two nights despite this being considerably more than price indicated on board. Could not be bothered to argue about the extra costs and rushed to check in and meet friends at next hotel.

Stayed here recently for 4 days for a festival. Hotel clean modern, staff were excellent and all spoke English. In centre of Nantes and only a tram ride away from train station. Breakfast was fresh and amazing. Only moan was €6.40 for a pint but hey it is a hotel bar. Great value for money
