Visiting Nantes for the first time I have decided to treat myself with a great hotel. As I am a regular of Radisson Blu, I picked this great one. It used to be the Court House and they definitely kept all the charm of it.
Bedrooms are great, bed is perfect but...
My shower head did not hang so I had to hold it to shower. Also when I wanted to close the curtain, the stick fell on my head. This could be ok but when I told the reception, not only the hostess did not seem to care but she told me that she would call the building manager to fix both these issues. 2 nights after no one came.

Another not pleasant moment was the room service, they had only few choices so I took a Croque Monsieur, it arrived burnt and they charge me the price of it plus 7 euros for delivery! What is the point to call it Room service of they charge the fact that you get it to your room.

Breakfast is not worth 25 euros.

Last but not least, today at the gym, I had to call to get water as there was none. The clerk laughed and told me she would bring some, she did not...

In conclusion, great location great building but poor staff or not very well managed. I will pick another one next time.

The hotel is in the old Palais de Justice and is an amazing building. Our room was on the ground floor and looked out on a small park - so you had to be careful to keep curtains closed at night but that was a tiny observation in such a lovely room - perfect for a few nights in an interesting town. They did try to sell us an upgraded room and breakfast as soon as we arrived ( when all we wanted was to get to the room and sit down!) but we rejected this and were glad we did. The gym and sauna/steam room were on our floor - small but did the job! We didn't use the restaurant but it looked very nice. The room had a kettle et al - our one complaint was that the maid didn't replenish the tea/coffee/milk - but a call to housekeeping soon resolved the matter. The hotel's position meant a walk to the more interesting areas for restaurants and cafés but we soon got our bearings so it wasn't an issue. The only thing they need to do is not have visible cabling for lights in the lobby - it spoils the whole look and they were really noticeable when you used the stairs on the way down ( you didn't look on the way up as the lobby is just too incredible for you to be distracted!)

Fantastic room. We had a junior suite and it had a great bathroom with tub, very comfortable bed and plenty of room. The staff could not have been nicer to us. Extremely helpful in everything from restaurant reservations, to tourist advice and even helped us find my husband's passport when he lost it. We really enjoyed our stay and since we stayed there for a week during a conference, think we really got a true picture of the hotel. I loved this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights in a one-bedroom suite. There are 4 of them, located in corners with a view at the square in front of the main entrance.

Lay-out is a bit strange (1 bathroom with toilets and bathtub adjacent to the bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower only adjacent to the living room) but it is really nice and actually pictures don't do justice to the suite. We enjoyed lounging and resting in the suite itself. With slightly more decor (picture in the living room above the couch? Some plant by the bathtub in the giant bathroom?) it would be absolutely perfect. Regarding equipment, something to put the soap / shower gel in the shower is necessary, storing everything on the floor is not a correct option.

Other than that, hard product is excellent. We tried the gym (small but good equipment) and we had breakfast in the restaurant, good selection and good quality. I only missed some carrot juice but overall it was excellent with good service.

Reception staff is very nice and genuinely concerned by all details of your stay. But there is room for improvement when you arrive with your car (nobody to help us with the luggage).

The hotel still has its own car park which is very convenient. If you need a taxi do make a reservation in advance as it seems there are very few in Nantes and because of traffic jam it can become a bit complicated if you try to get a car without prior notice.

Sound proofing is ok, overall it is the best hotel experience we had in Nantes, don't hesitate ;)

Excellent hotel, located in the former court of justice. The front has been kept, so you are under the impression of walking to court...unusual, but very nice. The interior is well-decorated, and gives the real feeling of a 5-star hotel.
Checking in was a pain, as the rate I booked had some characteristics that were not followed by the lady at the front desk, but in the end it got sorted out efficiently (Thanks to Eric for this).

The room was well-decorated, with all the amenities provided. The design of the bathroom is surprising, but well-done.Some were missing at first (only one pair of slippers and one bathrobe for 2 adults, but it got sorted out quickly as well). It is clean and looks brand new.

I haven't tried the restaurant, so I cannot comment on that, but the prices I've seen seemed steep for Nantes.

Overall, we had an excellent stay despite those minor setbacks described above, and will definitely come back early November!

The staff is more than perfect, charming and efficient,

the spa is small but really relaxing (hot tub addition would be perfect...), and most of all, the room : just PERFECT, I never slept tha well in a hotel bed, bedroom is well equipped, super clean, and just wonderful!
I can only recommend it, and thank again the great staff that made my stay so enjoyable and relaxing, at a walking distance of everything you would like to visit in Nantes.

Stayed for 3 nights in July. was hot but rooms were great - good size and air conditioned. Beautiful exterioir compromised by the gaudy interior.
Food was lovely but a littel over priced - around 50 -80 euros per person for evening meal.
Breakfast was very good - a large choice on offer.
Fab location at the top of town but within walking distance of shops and beautiful architecture.
