I stayed here for three weeks in September / October 2013. The house is dated from the 18th century and surrounded by a huge park. It has been taken over by Patricia last autumn and since then she is constantly busy improvement of the rooms aswell as the apartments. I had the chance to see them all and can very much recommend the "Gîte vert" and "chambre du tour". The gîtes are equipped with a kitchenette. Don't forget to bring towels and bed sheets, they are not included in the price! Otherwise they can be rented for €30. There is a swimming pool but it couldn't be used this year because Patricia is afraid guest might hurt themselves when walking barefoot on the wooden planks around the pool. She will see to that in the winter and get it fixed. Patricia speaks little English but then there is her son who speaks English very well. Communication never was an issue and Patricia did her best to make us feel comfortable and welcome. She has got lots of recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants and flea markets. Whenever I felt I needed something she was more than ready to assist me. Within walking distance there is are shops to do groceries, and the city centre aswell as the castle can be reached within 15-20 min. One last but also crucial issue: a very nice car parking. So I can sure recommend the Clos du Bois Brard!!!
