Stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The whole house is beautifully decorated and everything in done in such good taste. We had the comtesse suite on the top floor. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs but you are rewarded with wonderful views. The room was huge well equipped and spotless. The bathroom was of a similar standard. The grounds, including the swimming pool, Jacuzzi , barbecue area and the Victor Hugo lounge (in a separate building but for residents use) all were kept immaculately and towels laid out each day on the sun loungers. This really is 5 star B & B. When we booked it was near the top end of our budget range then the fall in the pound made it a little expensive for us-but it was worth it. Alain Nicolas, Veronique and Bruno did everything they could to make our stay memorable, providing us with the wherewithal when we picnicked in the garden on two evenings. The manoir is well named -the views over the Loire its valley and are wonderful. A gem of a place.

Room tip: Be aware that the top floor requires climbing two sets of stairs, the second lot being a little narrow

A superb two night stay on our journey home to the UK. Beautiful property that has been refurbished extremely tastefully. A warm welcome from the owner and the staff were outstanding throughout our stay.

We felt at home from the start.

A delightful little gem on the banks of the Loire. High quality accommodation but with French quirks. Second floor suite but no lift, restricted headroom to access bathroom, terrace looking west so perfect sunset view.
Comfortable bed, quality linen, excellent cleanliness and attention to detail. Remember to ask for milk if you want a cup of tea/coffee in the room. Water provided. Good information on local attractions and sites.
We ate here.......Bring a large appetite.
Breakfast .....standard french fare, .......juice, yogurt, good breads, jams, cheese, pastries, brioche, lovely butter, coffee, tea bags and hot water, chocolate powder and hot water.

We stayed here last year and arranged the dates of our holiday to be able to stay again on our return from southern France. I can't say enough positive things about this manoir (it is one of our favourite places). I'm sure this won't be our last visit. It has the most amazing view of the Loire and Saumur. We had a suite which is a wonderful room with a huge terrace (and that wonderful view again). The property is stunning - the building and the decor (we could see many small changes since last year as the owners continue to make improvements). The gardens are extremely pleasant (with a pool). Owners are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent taken in a lovely room. Free parking, The wi-fi can be a little unreliable but that is surely not a reason not to stay there. The property is a little out of town (but you wouldn't get the view if it wasn't) but we easily walked both ways for dinner ( a good opportunity to walk it off on the way home!).
