“Nice experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2012

It was our second time we stayed in this resort and it will not be the last!!
What we really appreciated was the warm welcome from the staff and owners! We felt right at home from the first moment, they were so nice and understanding. Any needed info for extra activities like diving or places to visit just ask Jane at the reception, she is very kind. Excellent food, amazing service, great environment. Very relaxing place to stay! Highly recommended! Greetings from 'Sir' Allan & Delma

Our stay at Anda White Beach Resort was great. However it's a two hour drive from the boatstation of Tagbilaran, it was worth it and we would advise you to do so (they can arrange a pickup service).
The resort looks just like the pictures; the swimmingbool and the beach are fantastic. Breakfast is included and means you can choose from some setmenus. All the food (breakfast and the rest) was very good and the personnel was friendly.
If you can stay there on a saterdaynight, you should: together with the personnel you can visit the nearby resort and party!
It were our first nights in the Phillipines and they were a very good start!

Anda White Beach Resort is a very beatiful resort in Anda Bohol. The room, pool, garden and restaurang are very nice and relaxing. The beach is better i Anda Center, 2 km from the resort but the resort is the best in Anda. We went by tricyle, 60 pesos, to the beach in center for swimming and lunch, then we spend the rest of the day in the resort, a perfect kombination.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, despite some poor weather. We stayed in the "family" room which I would thoroughly recommend. 2 seperate sleeping areas, with a dressing room (would be suitable for a cot/single bed) and large bathroom. All were immaculately clean.
I had been concerned about the food, having read some reports on Tripadvisor - but I honestly cannot fault any of the food we had. Breakfasts - especially the bacon - was delicious. We also enjoyed lunches and dinners here - all cooked to a very good standard. As mentioned previously, the waiting staff are lovely!
The beach in front of the hotel did have some seaweed - but this was cleared and tidied daily. It was a lovely place to wander- especially during sunset. Gorgeous shells here too.
We spent some time around the pool, which was superb overlooking the ocean, but also made several trips out. We walked along the beach (not far - to the left of the property) to see the turtle hatchery. Ask at reception and they will give you the key to see inside the tanks.
We also went on a hlf day trip to the nearby cave paintings. We took a tricycle to the reception area, then spent a pleasant afternoon on the visit. This consisted of a walk along a bamboo boardwalk ( throu mangroves) a ride on an outrigger canoe then a guided walk around the caves. Do be aware that you need some reasonable footwear (rather than flip flops) for this as there is quite a bit of scrambling around. (The reception staff had warned of this)
Our final trip was a day trip of the island. We visited the chocolate hills - well worth the visit - tarsiers, boat trip including lunch, old church and a snake "zoo". I wouldn't recommend the latter - animals were kept in very small cages. You also had the option to visit an adventure park where there was a zip wire, but we gave this a miss. Would recommend all these trips
In all then, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Do be aware that it is more isolated - but I think this is part of its charm. In particular, I do feel our room was superb for a family!

Room Tip: The Family room is very large. It has 2 double/king size beds and plenty of space for a cot/single b...

Pick-up service from Tagbilaran port was on time and the air-conditioned van was good + driver very nice. A two hour drive to Anda was not too bad, just take it as a sight-seeing tour of Bohol!

The beachfront room has a beautiful view of the beach and the sea! The room was ok, bathroom would need some upgrading and the shower water pressure was very low. The airconditioner is placed directly over the bed and it seems impossible to have it adjusted to a comfortable temperature: first it cools the room very cold and then switches off until it's hot again... Not very nice during night time when you first wake up feeling cold and pull the covers to your ears and then again when its hot and you want to get rid of the covers!

There are a lot of ants, mosquitos and other insects outside, so remember your repellent!

The beach was not very inviting during our stay (6 nights): a lot of sea weed and not a lot to see when snorkeling... The staff did do their best to get rid of the sea weed, but it there was just too much of it. You definitely need to go somewhere else for a good beach.

The pool was awesome! Beautiful and very clean! The poolboy/lifeguard was very efficient in cleaning the pool and very helpful with snorkeling gear and sand toys for our daughter.

The breakfasts were nothing special and we were very surprised to find out that you have to pay extra for a second cup of coffee!! Restaurant is nice and food is good althoug a bit overpriced. The staff is very nice and helpful.

You can walk to the village of Anda on the beach. You will get your feet wet but it's a very nice walk and in Anda you will find supermarkets and places to eat.

Anda White Beach resort has very nice features but the beach was a big disappointment.

Room Tip: Beach front room!!!

On arrival we got a very warm welcome at the reception of Anda White Beach Resort and we both felt immediately relaxed after the long drive along the coast following our disaster of the previous night staying in nutty jungle huts. This place has a nice infinity pool and spacious rooms and the cleanliness needs a compliment to the staff, who were attentive all the time and took great care of us in every way. The quality of the food was for us a positive point. There are no other restaurants in the vicinity so you pretty much have to eat your meals at the resort, which is not really a hardship at all considering basic filippino food leaves a lot be desired. For people that are looking for a quiet place, you can have a peaceful stress free time in an almost perfect place. We spent a cozy night at the bar, where you have the chance to meet the owners and chat over a beer or three. The resort is approx 2hrs from the airport so factor that into your trip. transfer one way costs around 1000 pesos. Overall the resort is small and well maintained (especially the grounds and the pool). The rooms are basic but as previously stated clean, however, the shower's water pressure was very low. It is not the cheapest of places but what you are paying for here is the lovely infinity pool overlooking the beach. It is easy to spend many hours poolside, relaxing. Perhaps a little overpriced but overall a lovely serene break.

Room Tip: Definitely go for the sea view.

We selected this place for a quiet getaway from Manila for the weekend and it was a very relaxing weekend. It is definitely a place with some goods and bads though:
Goods
The view, the view and the view. Amazing
Super secluded
The pool
The staff were very firendly

The bads
The bathroom was very 70's with hot water that just drizzled out of the showerhead and a toilet that leaked all night (had to turn off the water to the toilet each night to stop the dripping noise).
The room was OK - just average at best
It was nearly 2 hours from the airport
Depending on what your after, it might be just a touch too secluded.

Thhe restaurant was OK - not sure weather to classify that as good or bad.

In summary, a great weekend but I though it was a little over priced for what it was but we really enjoyed the getaway.
