We really liked the owner and her husband who were attentive, funny, helpful, thoughtful, and informative. Good value. Friendly staff, but still in need of some training. Great food prepared by the owner herself. Husband Jonnie attentive to all guests and their needs. Try the Nipa Huts that are perfectly situated overlooking the beach and sunrise! Quiet and out-of-the way location. Try beachcombing your way in to Anda town proper. Still undeveloped and a nice antidote to the tourist heavy areas of Panglao.

Room Tip: Try to book one of the Nipa Huts overlooking the beach. The one at the far end is the quietest but t...

Jani Is nice but he does not run the place his wife does and if there is a problem she just yells
there is no service when you go to the front desk no one is ever there
you can't feel safe when the local kids come up from the beach to use the pool and no one from the hotel is around to watch them
food ? when we went to dinner 2 hr later we were told they were out of one item then it was 1 more hr to eat when it came it was poorly cooked and cold so we thought may you should order dinner a breakfast
it might be less but you get a lot lot less I would not stay there again!!!

Room Tip: don't stay run fast

We stayed at a hotel next door but preferred the food and the fun and charming owners of La Petra. We ordered not from the menu but Philippine dishes that we do not normally see on the menu. Best ever! My husband, my daughter and her husband and I had such an enjoyable evening that we decided to return the following day for a tour with them. They were fun to talk to and the trip through Bohol will always be memorable to all four of us. We hope to return and will definitely plan to stay in the Resort.

This resort is the worst so far. It has very expensive food, very poor service. Though the foreigner owner Johnny is very good, his wife Ines is the worst. Staff are not friendly, and the food takes 3 hours to be served! Not to mention the beach. It is white but has muddy texture! The cheaper rooms (at 3000/night) has free bfast, but the one we stayed in, at 3500/night doesn't! What's worse, the owner Ines is very rude. She did not serve our Order of beers until we settle first our bills (which normally, they should have asked for deposit upon check in, or they subtly informed us). Very bad experience at this resort.
