We visited the beautiful Remy facilities many years ago with three small girls.we had a wonderful visit including a trip on a little train. Although the girls were aged between fourteen and seven they really enjoyed it too and we're not bored, although they missed put on the tasting!
We visited again this month with out now grown up daughter and her husband. Having "bigged up"the visit to my son in law we were very disappointed. The guide did not speak very good English. We all felt we might have been happier with the French tour as we all have a little French.
The guide spoke such poor English that we felt that most visitors found it very hard work to get the most from the visit. We learned So much about the production, and making of this spirit from our first trip. The guide then had been a linguist and maybe more importantly passionate about his subject. We did not get the same this year.
Please do visit Remy it is a wonderful experience if you get a good guide

4th visit to Remy Martin best yet. English speaking french guide was good (phone in advance to check times for English tours) informative and had good knowledge to answer questions well.
car parking ample across from site well signed. As trip involves walking, climbing stairs and getting on and off the 'little train' would suggest not very suitable for wheelchair users. After tour tasting session with food nibbles interesting. My husband would think it sacrilege to have Cognac on ice, but it was surprisingly good. Can't wait for lottery win to buy, and taste, a bottle of the Louis 15th! Shop at end of tour well stocked and tempting. Enjoyable couple of hours more suited to adults and older children.

Taking of tour of the Remy Martin cognac facilities is definitely worth doing, even if you don't like Cognac. It was very interesting to learn about the steps to making and aging Cognac as well as the history of its creation. You really learn how delicate and refined the process has become. At the end of the tour they do a tasting where you learn about the different notes and subtleties of the different cognacs. Then you have an opportunity to buy the products. I would recommend reserving your tour ahead of time so that you know when to arrive.
It was a little difficult to find the tour meeting spot because there were a couple administrative buildings that looked like the main entrance, but weren't. But once we found it we had a great time.

A professional, informative and fascinating tour through the history of Remy Martin and the production of cognac. The aroma when you enter reception takes your breath away. The train was a novelty for the children Seeing barrels of eau de vie which were laid down before the First World War was amazing. Learning the art and training of the Cellar Master was fascinating. And the tasting was very informative, showing how the two cognacs changed flavour after the canapes. Unfortunately it still couldn't convince me to like cognac :(. Ring in advance to book an English speaking tour.

I love Remy Martin's cognac, so after reading all the positive feedback on TripAdviser we decided to go for their tour and enjoyed it a lot. We took an English tour, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was very well organised, while visiting the caves the wonderful smell of aging cognac made the experience even better.
In the end we had a relaxed tasting where we tasted 3 cognacs (VSOP, XO and a special new one called Cœur du Cognac) and nibbled the appetizers. Afterwards, my husband wanted to taste a special cognac and they just gave him a sizeable serving and me another glass of the Cœur du Cognac because I liked it so much. We ended up getting slightly tipsy . For EUR 18 pp, it was good fun and great value for money.
