The property is on 2-levels and has an enclosed garden and secure garage. The 4-bedrooms are spacious and the kitchen and lounge areas are well appointed. They have done a great job in making this a perfect modern place in a very typical French environment. We were impressed by the quality of the local shops which provide for all your immediate needs. Overall, met all our expectations and we had a fantastic, trouble-free and very relaxed holiday......................would we book again.............Oh Yes!

An extremely well-equipped and beautifully furnished house, perfect for a mix of generations with plenty of space indoors and out. We received a very warm welcome from the owners who provided a wide range of helpful information and tips for places to visit. The house is ideally situated in a quiet location but with excellent nearby shops, and it is a pleasant stroll into the heart of La Rochelle. Everywhere was accessible on foot or by bus, train or bike.

The house offered us everything we wanted. It was clean, comfortable and in a brilliant location. It was nice to have things like dish washer tablets and hand soap there. The owners were very informative about the house and the area before we arrived and whilst we were there. They recommended the local deli/greengrocer and prepared food shops that were close by - we used both - and were very impressed!
We had a brilliant weekend and will hopefully be back to see more of the town.

We booked this house for its great location and the space it offered. It worked brilliantly for our family with the grandparents upstairs and the rest of the family downstairs in the two garden rooms. It was a really pleasant surprise to see how well thought out and obviously well cared for the property was. The kitchen was really well equipped and there were lovely little extras like homemade jam and a tea tray laid out for our arrival. The location was so convenient for everything with lovely local shops at the end of the street, the seafront and beach within a short stroll and all that La Rochelle has to offer within an easy 15 minute walk (or slightly longer when a two year old gets distracted by the lovely animal park on the way). I really couldn't fault the house, the location or the warm welcome that our hosts gave us. It's certainly one of the better holiday rentals we've used and I'm so glad we found it.

We booked the house with extended family and friends and we have had a great time, i can not fault the house, the way it is set out with really two sleeping areas,upstairs two bedrooms and Kitchen and Living area, and down stairs two bedrooms with separate shower and bathroom, gives everybody space.A relaxing and private garden where we enjoyed a barbeque on a number of evenings.
Typically French relaxed but attentive, it was situated close to the Casino and park area and La Rochelle Beach Plage de la Concurrence, within easy walking distance of the Old Port and all the shops and restaurants
I would like to say a big thank you to Marie and Emmanuel, who spoke perfect English and if we went with the same size party , i would have no hesitation to book their house again,we know La Rochelle well and enjoyed our Holiday as we have done before.

Before we travelled we enquired about a stroller for an infant, there was none but one was obtained for us. On arrival we noted that there was no kettle (the French do not usually use one) but a new one was delivered the following day. The house was all we had expected. The Casino is a 4 minute stroll away from the house, the beach is a further 3 minute stroll and the centre of the city a further 4 minutes away. It was ideal for a group comprising grand parents, parents and an infant. The location is very peaceful and close to shops. I would highly recommend it and would have no hesitation in returning.
