My family have a holiday in France most years, so I have fair bit of experience with French hotels/apartments etc.

I booked a 1 bedroom apartment here (room no.1) as an overnight stop, on route to the cote d'azur. It wasn't easy to find via car (no satnav), as the road sign is obscured coming in from the Cours Mirabeau direction.

The Receptionist was very pleasant and booking was very smooth. Although there is some free parking outside of the building, we decided to use the underground car park, which is charged at 10 Euros a day plus tax. Be warned, the entrance to this underground car park is very tight, and is not for the nervous driver with a bigger that average car.

The apartment itself was a little bit tight on space for 4 people (2 adults + 2 Children), but OK for a short stay. The main bed was very comfortable and so was the pullout sofabed. This apartment had all the mod cons that you may need for your stay - American kitchen, fridge freezer, microwave, larder, etc. The level of cleanliness was good. The bathroom contained a bath & shower combined. The toilet was separate and was located near the front door. Both the main living area and the bedroom had a door that led to a small patio area (ground floor apartment), which was fenced off.

This Adagio is very near to all of the action. You have the Cours Mirabeau night market nearby, as well as many old town restaurants and an outdoor shopping mall. There is also a handy Casino Supermarket within 200 yards, if you turn right at the reception entrance and then left at the end of the road. However, be warned, inflation in France is increasing rapidly, so prices are not cheap (5.50 euros for a punnet of strawberries, normally £2.00 in the UK in summer).

Summary: The location is excellent. The Apartment price is medium/high. We would stay there again. However, I do not recommend a long stay at these apartments, if you the travel party is more than 2 people.

Finally, although Adagio hotel/apartments are co-owned by the Accor Hotel Group, I feel that their Suite Hotel concept is better. Therefore, if you are traveling in France and there is Suite Hotel or Adagio in the same town, look at the Suite Hotel first. Just a personal opinion.

Comfortable hotel, centrally located. We had trouble with the air conditioning, which was promptly "fixed" but broke again later that day. The hotel did move us to another room after a bit of a battle. However, we would stay again as the hotel was comforable and clean.
