“A cosy room!”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

We had a very cosy double room - although my bf found the deco rather feminine, I didn't mind. It was not a stylish hotel but was warm and clean. The hotel isn't far away from the city centre so we went out to have breakfast at a local cafe. We didn't need to check out until 12pm so it was useful for us. Good value!

Decent location for what I needed – easy enough to drive to from the A8, yet close enough to walk into town. The hotel is sign posted once you get off the highway and are headed into town. There about a dozen free spaces in front of the hotel plus an underground garage you can pay for. It’s a ten minute walk to the (mostly) pedestrianized center, not a very visually pleasing street but not sketchy or anything. The hotel itself is a fairly modern building, very clean, room is good sized, modern spotless bathroom, free Wi-Fi, lift. Breakfast was 9€ and not really worth that much unless you eat a ton of croissants and yogurt and coffee for breakfast, but it’s the going rate in this region. Not a ‘charming’ place to stay, but more than comfortable and suited my needs just fine. 63€/single

We spent 4 nights at Le Mozart and found it to be a very clean modern comfortable place. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station and is just outside the old town. It is very close to the Musee Granet which had a wonderful exhibition on when we were there. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we preferred to go out, so I can't comment on that. There was a nice terrace outside where you could sit and relax. Overall, we were very pleased with our choice of hotel.

The best attribute of this hotel is the fact that it is basically just a short 5 or 10 minute walk to the heart of town!

The room? I had booked a double room although I was travelling alone. The room I was given was certainly not suitable for two people, it was way too small if you had luggage of any kind with you! I don't remember the room number, but I think it was on the top floor. There was also a huge draft in the room, which was actually quite loud.

So, if you are looking for a simple hotel to use as a base for couple days of exploring Aix, it is convenient. Would not recommend for longer stays due to the size of the room.

We stayed her for 4 days so our daughter could settle in when starting her studies at the University. We combined our stay with visit to the town. We had a triple room that was spotless clean. The staff assisted us with finding good restaurants that were good priced. it had alos anough brochures and leaflets on things that were going on. Breakfast was good whereby continuously fress bread or rolls were added. This hotel caters mainly busienss people out of the business season, but we were well taken care off. Good balance price/value. will be again our stay next time !! Bart en Griet en Amelie

We moved to this hotel after a disappointing night at another hotel that was much more expensive. The stay was excellent. The room was a little small but we coped fine and enjoyed the stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

There is free parking for ca. 10 cars in their outside parking and others need to use underground parking for which there is perhaps a fee. We parked outside.

I would definitely stay in this hotel again. For more than a 2-3 nights, the room would have been small for some people but we were fine.

The hotel staff are friendly, helpful (we asked for advice on how to continue on our road-trip and got great help with that), and efficient. The location is very good also - a ten minute walk at most to the centre of the town. There is no traffic noise as the hotel is set back from the road. We had booked the garage parking (small charge) but when we arrived, there was plenty of surface car parking spaces (safe, on the hotel's grounds) and we were able to cancel the garage parking (we didn't intend moving the car until the day we had to leave Aix). The receptionist was very relaxed about this and happy that we had found a free spot. Our room was a little on the small side but given the good price, I wasn't expecting anything different. (I've stayed in much smaller rooms in other cities and paid a lot more!). The place is spotless and has a lot of tourist oriented information available. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel - we always prefer to eat out for breakfast when on holidays but the dining room looked pleasant and at that time of year (July) most people were eating breakfast on the little terrace. This was our first visit to Aix and our first stay in France in many years - thank you to all at Le Mozart Hotel for making our stay so pleasant. We hope to return.
