Le Couvent is a wonderful place to stay if your in Apt. The rooms are huge and nicely furnished, almost a miracle in France for a modest price. The continental breakfast was excellent - the best croissants, preserves, coffee and breads I've found in on this vacation. Very nice pool in the garden. Staff very friendly.

Le Couvent was a experience. It is a former convent and Laurent and his wife, the owners, added to the experience. The breakfast was delicious and the croissants were so good. The pool was wonderful. Le Couvent was decorated with items from the days when it was a couvent. I loved the old photos thought out the B and B. They spoke English which are very helpful as my French is not good. Our room on the top floor was more the large it was enormous with views over the city of Apt.

Room Tip: Ask for the room on the top floor with two beds. It is a hike since it is on the fourth floor, no e...

This former convent was just the type of experience you home to have on holidays. The character of the building is gorgeous and Laurent and his wife have done an amazing job to maintain and run this establishment. We were on the top floor and did have a concern if it was a bad move as we had to get suitcases up there but as we stayed for 4 nights it was not a real problem for the bonus of having such a large room with great views across the rooftops. We slept with the windows open on both sides of the room and got lovely fresh air and suprisingly not much noise. The rooms are kept exceptionally clean and the bathroom was also good. The breakfast room and the selections were also very good each day. The courtyard is lovely and this complex is a real haven in the middle of things. We weren't certain if Apt was the best place to stay as it was referred to as a "service" town but we certainly enjoyed ourselves and it was a good base for the region. Quiet of a night but a couple of good little restaurants are around once you find your way around. The markets were the absolute best we attended in all of France. Many seemed like car boot sales but this was extensive and we had a great time wandering around. I could have just fallen into one of the many stands selling strawberries and died a happy death. Even if you don't need to buy any produce to just walk around, inhale the smells (particularly the spice stands) and take photos this was perfect. And yes we did buy some food and fabric so it was very handy to just take it back to Le Couvent. Enjoy!

Room Tip: Appears to have a number of good but different options so just work out what your priority is. We c...

Enormous might not sum up the size of this room. We pretty much had our own wing of this former convent, which took us by surprise. At less than 100€/night it's definitely a great value. The hosts were very unobtrusive and courteous.

There were many details that were carefully constructed and it was evident the owners rightfully take great pride in their beautiful home/village retreat.

Apt isn't a super quaint city as one may expect, but as other reviews have noted it's quite lively on market day (Saturday) when the entire city is filled with vendors of every shape and form.

Room Tip: I don't think you can go wrong with any room.

this is a lovely hotel which is a converted convent. The hotel as a whole is beautifully decorated and maintained. Good and generally helpful service. The breakfast was wonderful - very bad for our diet, as we just couldn't stop eating! But what was most amazing was the room. It was HUGE - on the top floor, with fantastic views out. I've forgotten the name of the room, but ask for the large room at the top of the hotel. The hotel

I was here on business last week with another person from our company and this B&B was recommended to us by someone who lives in the area. This was the best sleep I had while in Europe. Large rooms with a great bed and fantastic hosts. Wifi is available, as is a computer for your use.

It probabaly explains why it is often difficult to find a room here. If you know you are going to Apt, I suggest you book early...

Of all of the places we stayed during our 3 week road trip, this was one of our favourites. The building is lovely and the rooms absolutely HUGE! We stayed on the top floor and had a wonderful view of the hills surrounding Apt.

Laurent was a great host and made us feel very welcome... I'm not sure where he gets his energy as he bounded up the stairs! He is obviously very proud of the restoration and rightly so as the rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable.

We stayed during Spring and had lovely breezes through the room - I'm not sure if there was airconditioning.

HOT TIP - stay on a Friday night as the markets on Saturday really bring the town to life. Not much goes on on Sundays and the town itself is quite small but very beautiful and a great location to explore the surrounding area.

Room Tip: We loved the view from the top floor
