My husband and I spent the better part of a week in Provence, traveling out each day to various sites from our lovely apartment at La Madone. We stayed in the one bedroom "Lin" apartment on the third floor overlooking the picturesque town of Apt. Our apartment had a large, well-equipped kitchen, and if we had been so inclined, we could have prepared great meals. As it was, we were thrilled to open our door in the morning to find a linen bag hanging on the handle with fresh, often warm, croissants and a baguette. The bed was comfortable, but the most unexpected luxury was the bed linen. Antique linen, crisply ironed, large soft pillows with monogrammed pillowcases, adorned the bed. The sheets were soft as a feather and unmatched by the highest thread count in today’s cottons.
Our hosts, Nathalie and Jean Bernard Masset, were welcoming and available if we had any questions, but unobtrusive otherwise. On the Wednesday night of our stay they hosted an aperitif in the garden party, and it was fun to meet the other guests and exchange stories of where we had been in our travels around Provence. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Madone, and plan on recommending it to any of our friends who travel to Provence.

When and artist and a designer goes on holiday, it is difficult to find a place that is as comfortable as the home you leave behind. La Madone is the most beautiful lodging I have ever found anywhere in my travels. croissants served at the door at 8:00am, oh my. It has a lovely pool for the end of the day.
This was my second stay and it won't be the last. Apt is in the center of the Luberon, Provence.
Close to all the hilltop towns, lavender, grapes, pumpkins, figs, Rose.
Coming to La Madone is like coming to my dream vacation spot.

Room Tip: all four are great, we have stayed In Lin, Chanve, and contemporarian

My gorgeous husband and I stayed in Apt in the middle of beautiful Provence at the beginning of Sept for a week. Our very lovely hosts Nathalie and Jean-Barnard's beautiful apartments. We stayed in the Renaissance apartment which is in the old part of town. The apartment was everything that we dreamed that our little french styled apartment would be. Right from the way it is furnished to the amazing ceiling in the bedroom. There was so much room with a lovely sitting room, dining room and a very modern kitchen with everything that you would need to whip up a little french affair. The courtyard outside was so lovely under the grape vine with the warming sun and your afternoon Pastis that lovely aperitif in hand. On Saturday was market day and when you opened the door you where stepping right out into the very lively market with the most wonderful food. We loved the apartment we stayed in and we do believe the other apartments they have to offer are just as superb talking to other guests at an informal drinks evening that was held by Nathalie & Jean-Barnard. Thank-you to you both you are such a lovely couple very warm helpful and friendly. We hope to return one day.

I've been twice in La Madone B&B in Apt, heart of La Provence. The style, tranquility, good taste and the attention of Jean Bernard and Nataly make this place the best for holidays in La Provence. From there you can go to the best towns of this beautiful place and enjoy the tranquility and the essence of France. Will go again and again!!

Room Tip: La Madone have for couples and families as modern and "antiek" room style, is fabulous! Ch...

We, a family of three stayed in Appartement Renaissance at the end of March, 2013. We have enjoyed everything there: the style, the comfort, the spot and of course the lovely host. Wifi was not functional, but we did not travel to Provence to browse the internet. It was fun and pleasure staying with La Madone. Wish to come back some time.

My husband and i stayed at La Madone for the third time this year. This hotel is a very cosy, charming and peaceful resort in the centre of Apt. Everything is close, Bonnieux, Goult, Saignon etc. The hotel is owned by a very nice couple who make sure that the guests feel at home in Provence. You can choose from four different appartments, which are furnised in four different styles. Our favourite was the contemporary apartement. The hostess has a very fine taste ensuring you get a glimpse of the typical Provence atmosphere. The garden also has a nice pool where you can chill if the weather gets too hot for sightseeing. The fresh baguette and croissant are always hanging from you doorknob every morning at 8 if you decide to order breakfast. (included in the price) All in all it has been the finest hotel we stayed during our stay in Provence.

This review is a bit tardy as my wife and I were there in October of 2012 for a friend's wedding and our honeymoon. Very charming and as advertised. We're glad we chose an apartment like this versus a hotel. It gave us great views and access to Apt along with a comfortable living space. The hosts were wonderful and Natalie speaks enough english to help with our non-existent french. The croissants provided every morning were a treat as well. I wouldn't hesitate to return to La Madone with any future travels to the Provence region. Thanks again Natalie and Jean-Bernard.
