We were ouit of season and initially, even at 2030, the only people in there. There were only the chef and a waiter present as far as we could make out, and we nearly didn't go in, but the menu looked exciting and thank goodness we did. We went a la carte and I had 3 local dishes, foie, veau and creme caramel. All large, well prepared and simply presented. Most importantly all delicious. Madame had an avocado and tomato salad specially created for her, then duck breast and another creme caramel. All also fantastic. All washed down with a lovely local red wine - Chateau St Pons from Villars. In sum we went in with low expectations and came out hugely impressed - especially at the price. Also at the very accommodating service.
