“Great value for money - good location”
Reviewed 17 June 2014 via mobile

This was rated 2 star when we visited but we were hugely surprised at how nice it was. A great location to explore the fabulous city of Arles. The rooms are spacious and clean. Driving to this hotel is fun - very narrow roads - all part of the fun of this hotel/town and there is small car park in a courtyard a few metres away.
Arles has an amazing market on a Saturday - well worth a visit.

The initial welcome was friendly and we had been able to park almost next door to the hotel. The room was very small, but reasonably decorated. The bathroom suite looked new and clean. We did find the bed to be a bit hard, but the room would have been okay if what we had hoped about the town were true.

The guidebooks led us to believe Arles was a charming small town, but while the Roman history is present, the town is quite run down. There were very few restaurants open when we visited, and the best we found was far from usual French food standards. The hotel breakfast was no better and overpriced.

We decided to leave after a 1/3 booked nights and negotiated to pay for two. We moved on to Avignon.

We really enjoyed our time at the Hotel le Belvedere in Arles. The room was spacious and clean, everything worked properly. The desk clerks were all very helpful and friendly. Wifi was fast and reliable. The location was the best. Easy walking distance to all the attractions. An excellent stay!

We stayed here for three nights. The room was very small with a huge, comfy bed and a terrace that faced the square. Staff was friendly. We had some trouble getting the air conditioning to work, and the shower was a little slow to drain, but no other problems.

This is not a hotel with a lot of "charm", but it was very affordable, near free parking (right outside the wall, only a block away), and offered easy access to the rest of Arles. We didn't buy the breakfast. There are multiple boulangeries within a quick walk (a minute or two) that offer breakfast items (quiches, croissants, pizza) at half the cost.

Room Tip: Rooms that face the square have a little terrace with table and chair.

Superb town to visit. Along with a [rushed] trip to Pont du Gard and a day in Avignon, we found plenty of things to interest us during a week's stay. Roman arena and Roman theatre probably stand out most along with links to Van Gogh and his many paintings of the town. Restaurants/cafes abound...though prices in France could not be described as cheap. Can be windy due to mistral, blew for three days while we were there...didn't spoil holiday, though. Most enjoyable stay...choice of hotel had a lot to do with the success of the visit.

Room Tip: Ours was large room on first floor. Having a balcony was a great way of enjoying the atmosphere in P...

The location for this hotel is great, handy to the amphitheatre etc. We were lucky with our room which faced the square, as there was a small balcony to sit in. The room was quite big with a king sized bed. Good AC. The bathroom worked well and obviously has been upgraded recently. Parking was near by in a public car park for free. The breakfasts were of good value. The only downside was the stairs. We were in room 23 so second floor to carry the bags. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Would stay there again.

This hotel is within walking distance of the train station, but still inside the city center, a short walk to the sites. Overlooking a square lined with cafes and restaurants, the hotel is in a part of town that feels pretty "student-y".

The rooms are OK--small and sparse. The bathroom was small and mostly functional, with a few quirks. The price was very reasonable.

While we were comfortable with our stay, if you're looking for charm, you may want to consider other options further in the old town. No major problems, but probably wouldn't stay again.
