This two-star hotel is well located just inside one of the old town gates with views of the river and just a quarter block away from the Wed. and Sat. market. If all you want is a bed and an easy walk to see all the Roman sights, this will do very well. There are some cute touches in the rooms but don't expect House Beautiful. The nightstand in our room may have survived WWII. On the plus side, there is A/C which was very welcome during our August visit. We also reserved one of the garages for our leased car giving us peace of mind for a small extra cost. There is no elevator so if climbing stairs is a problem, ask for a room on the first floor (that's the second floor to Americans). The breakfast buffet was typical - cereal, bread, cheese, juice yogurt, coffee and hard boiled eggs. The owners speak English and were always available if we had questions. Overall, I would stay here again since we were only in the room to sleep and there was so much to see in Arles.
