We were looking for an inexpensive lunch, and found it here at Tapalocas. Their "raw materials" are procured at the Les Halle's market and, yes, some are overcooked. But our lentils and chorizo were very good, the manchego gateau (cake) excellent, and spicy potatoes in tomato sauce were pretty much the same quality as I had in Barcelona not long ago.
The interior is funky and fun; there is an upstairs if you want quieter surroundings. There are also outdoor tables. Tapalocas is well situated just a few steps off (pricey) Place d'Horloge, and is a good bet for cheap, decent food in Avignon.
