We stayed as a party of 5 for 5 nights in October 2011. What a find, everything the other reviewers say is so true. Francois and Paco were 2 of the nicest people we met on our trips and their home is so beautiful. Don't be put off by the fact you aren't in the middle of town as this location is perfect - and no parking problems!! It really is only a short drive to anywhere. There is a restaurant on the island you should visit at night too for the view of the Avignon bridge (of the nursery rhyme) at night time - stunning :) Thanks for an amazing stay guys!

We stayed here at the end of last April and into May. Just a really special experience. We stayed like 5 or 6 nights and it flew by. The grounds in April were absolutely beautiful the trees were flowering and there . The location is best suited to those who have or are renting cars because it is on an island in the middle of the Rhone that is mostly farm land and country roads. That said, it's really only 5 or ten minutes from Avignon center and parking is fairly undramatic. Absolutely beautiful area and a great point from which to explore the surrounding areas. Françoise and Paco are the best! We had so much fun sitting with them and the other guests at breakfast talking about our day and what are plans were. Breakfasts are pretty standard breads, coffee, yogurt, cereal, and these awesome jams that you can actually buy from Françoise. We stayed in the Delacroix room and it was really cute - my wife flipped when she saw it. Just really detailed with classic furniture and decorations in the rooms. I think they've renovated since we've been there and I imagine all the rooms are as tastefully decorated. They have a pool and some detached apartments also - I think kids would have a great time there because of the space and pool, but some of the furniture and stuff in the room is a little delicate so I'd be careful. Just a great time and we can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: We really liked the Delacroix room. There are some pictures but they're a little dark.

We were traveling with 2 teenagers and all agree that this was our favorite accommodation of the 8 places we stayed during our 2 week European vacation. Francois and Paco were incredibly warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond to meet our needs. The main guest house is charming and an idyllic location. The rooms are incredibly clean, very large, beautiful linens. The breakfast was perfect. Plenty of fresh fruit and delicious French pressed coffee. The original character of the home has been preserved while offering all the modern amenities. We would highly recommend this B&B.

This is a great B and B, the owners are extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the breakfast generous. I would stay here many times again. It is a most relaxing and quietly sophisticated establishment. A fantastic place to stay. We enjoyed having breakfast conversations with our hosts, and their helpful information about what to do in the area, inc restaurant recommendations.

Room Tip: We had the Villars room, and it is accessed by a short set of narrow stairs, but worth the effort...

We stay 4 nights in the Delacroix rooms & the domaine is so beautiful with green surroundings. The breakfast is the best we have in France & the location is convenient when you'd like to travel around Avignon to those charming little towns like Rousillion, Gordes... We love to cycle around & the pools seems quite good too.

Our family of five stayed in the Cezanne apartment at Domaine de Rhodes for a week in late December and looked forward to arriving back to a warm and cosy "home" after visiting the magnificent countryside of Provence. The bedrooms were generous and the hot showers rejuvenated us after walking all day. Françoise and Paco gave us helpful tips about places to visit and where to eat. The whisper quiet location is amazingly only 5 minutes from Avignon town centre.

Merci beaucoup Françoise et Paco pour un séjour inoubliable!

Room Tip: The Cezanne apartment we stayed in is for 4 persons but one of our children slept on the sofa bed (s...

I stayed in this property during the low season right after Christmas. We were the only ones staying in the main house so we felt like we lived in our own mansion. The decor is stately and beautiful. The holiday decorations were tasteful and festive. Francoise and Paco greeted us warmly and gave us a tour and explained the breakfast hours. A fire was blazing upon our arrival and we enjoyed sitting in front of it and relaxing.

The table was set beautifully in the morning for breakfast. A very nice display of fresh breads, fresh orange juice, jams, cereal and yogurt were offered. Francoise and Paco had family visiting for the holidays and we enjoyed meeting them as well. Everyone was very warm.

We only had one day to tour Avignon so we chose not to rent a car. I do believe a car is necessary if you plan to use this as a base for travels, which I highly recommend! The taxi cost from the train was around 20Euro and the return pick up and drop of to the train was around 30 Euro as they charged for coming out for the pick up. Francoise had business in town so she was kind enough to offer to drive us in to town herself after breakfast. What a wonderful treat! She even gave us an impromptu tour.

Domaine De Rhodes is such a wonderful place and an incredible value for the price. I highly recommend you stay here.

Room Tip: My daughter and I stayed in the Delacroix room. It is very large and the amenties are high end. A pi...
