“Good place to start a ride”
Reviewed 1 October 2013

We were booked into this hotel by Cyclomundo, as the starting point for a 6 day ride around Provence.
What a great way to kick off. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room large and full of character and there was even a dedicated area with bike racks where our expensive carbon bikes were as safe as could be.
The breakfast was buffet style with everything an international traveller could want. Quite different from the usual 'continental' breakfast.
The only quibble was that I was unable to log onto the free WIFI service on my iPad. I brought it up with the staff, who could find no apparent problem and were very sympathetic. A couple of other guests we met had similar issues, but most seemed able to log on just fine. Never got to the bottom of that one.
Highly recommended, but not sure what value for money is as it was part of a package cycling tour. It was certainly great value for us and very enjoyable.

Must have been an old monastery or convent converted to hotel, very lovely grounds. Our deluxe room was actually two bedrooms, a sitting room, and two bathrooms with one big tub, the other shower. We should have brought the kids there was so much room! However, low ceilings caused slight forehead injury (wear helmets)! Service was slow to poor. Great parking area for your car! Great location, just about 5 blocks north of Papal palace and famous old bridge. Laverie Laundromat around corner if you need to freshen up your clothes.

Room Tip: ask for a room you can stand up in.

Stayed here for one night and had a lovely room split over two levels. The hotel is a nice blend of old and new and felt almost hidden away but minutes walk from the sights. Secure parking on site and really nice staff.
A definite recommendation.

This hotel was such a confort-for-the-traveller! Great location situated at the grounds of an old cloister with a spacious yard with tall trees and a fountain in the middle and a small garden where you could have breakfast or a drink. The interior of the hotel was very beautiful. The part of the building where breakfast was served and where the restaurant was also situated with an arched ceiling, a great view to the central yard through the huge windows letting all the sun inside...very nice and clean and staff quite polite. My room was in the new building quite different from the old part (the contrast was interesting) was spacious enough the bed was comfortable, seperate bathroom and WC, a verandah, free internet, generally met all my needs. Extaordinary for me the fact that I was only a few stairs away from the pool on the roof of the hotel so I just wore my swimming suit and walked to the pool as if it was my house. In a walking distance from everything even from the train station that was the good thing of a small place. I would highly recommend this so beautiful and different hotel!!!!!

It's easy to find this hotel, but the car park is almost impossible to get to!took us an hour down one way streets, going in circles, following an inadequate map reception gave us. When we finally got there we were stunned by the buildings beauty.during our stay we on,y found two staff that were really nice. Sadly.the rest were brisk or plain rude.the room was superior room in the new wing, no character at all. The bed on my side was 8 inches from he wall in a long room.aircon was great, but the room was dowdy and not in keeping with hotel. Whoever did decor in new wing should be fired. Bathroom good, but verandah not nice. We're on ground level, so unless we wanted everyone looking in our room, we had to keep the doors to the outside world shut then it became not pleasant to use.. The restaurant is love,y but staff rude.had to wait 10 minutes to be seated and then it was a "couldn't care less attitude". My husband sent his steak back three times. It was awful. It was only when they realised we were not impressed that they started paying attention to us. Did not go back there again . It had so much potential. Staff need to understand the customer should be treated well, not with disdain

We stayed four nights in this interesting hotel. The old part is very beautiful and spacious, with lovely limestone vaulted ceilings. We were in the new section. Our room was really quiet and comfortable with plenty of space. The hotel is literally yards from the bus and train stations but it is very peaceful. My husband enjoyed the roof-top pool.

The design of the staircases in the new section was unusual, perhaps this is prison chic? It certainly would not suit someone who suffered from vertigo.

Really outstanding hotel
Set in a old church lovely grounds and the public spaces are fabulous .
The rooms are very large and have a useful verandah .
Toilets are very very small.
The front office staff let down the high standards of this hotel very very unhelpful.
Aloof and unhelpful are words that describe front office staff .
Special mention of Anissa has to be made ,no help at all.
