A lovely, stylish hotel 10 minutes drive from the heart of Avignon. The garden complete with delightful pool, is beautiful with roses abounding and very well cared for.
The finish of the room was outstanding and although a little tight on space, was perfectly formed.

One of the best features of the hotel is its staff. Yann and Anais must have been carefully picked for their charm as it is something that doesn't come with training. I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and would suggest to independant travellers that you use the number 2 bus to drop you off at the city wall of inner Avignon...saves a lot of stress when hunting for a parking space.

The only reason we gave them 4and not 5 points is the distance from the city. Excellent if you drive a car since parking is free. Restaurant for lunch was very good as well breakfast.. The staff very attentive and courteous..

Yes this hotel is a little way outside the centre but offers an outdoor swimming pool thus, in fine weather, provides a combination of historic city and relaxing sunbathing. The pool area was a bonus particularly as it was very quiet. Factor in though the cost of getting to the city - some Euro 12 each way by taxi. Rooms were nicely decorated and bathrooms new and very modern.

Food in the restaurant didn't offer many choices and the serving staff weren't knowledgeable about the dishes. Not cheap either. The only other complaint and it isn't serious is why oh why do hotels insist on offering BBC World on TV as the only English channel and the world's most boring!

Room Tip: Ask for a newly decorated room facing the pool

We stayed 6 nights at this hotel on holiday in the area 8th - 14th April 2013. Great welcome and excellent service received from Yann and Anais throughout our stay. Well done & thank you. Room was clean with Tea/Coffee facilities. However the Cardboard Cups supplied daily cheapened this service. The bedding was clean & comfortable. The design of the hotel is modern with effective/pleasing use made of lighting. The hotel garden is excellent and surrounded by high wall so private & quiet. The hotel is 2kms. from Avignon Centre. A No.2 bus stops outside the hotel every 15 minutes. Although we walked in to town on several occasions. TGV station is also 2 kms. but awkward to access on foot because of motorway. 15 Euro taxi ride although we discovered later a No. 14 bus from outside hotel to TGV ( not on Sundays ). Bon Vacances merci a tous!

Room Tip: Be nice to the staff!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Provided us with tourist map, recommendations and advice for the area.

They warned us they were renovating the hotel so it would get noisy and upgraded us to a superior room.

Room was clean, spacious and clean. Very modern furnishings, comfy bedding and large bathroom. Complimentary tea/coffee facilities daily, free toiletries daily.

Lots of free private parking off the street around the hotel. As we travelled by car it was very quick (5 minutes) to drive into main tourist attractions.

Free wifi in rooms, very good speed Internet.

Nice hotel pool and restaurant area.

Restaurant was overpriced for the meal quality. Breakfast buffet choice was good but still quite pricey.

Area was quiet and peaceful (minus the obvious renovations)

Not obvious to find this hotel, but we got there for 2 nights.

It's relatively new and it got the modern look. You must have a car ( the bus service could be an option if you got familiar with it ). To get to old part of town you have to pay for parking lot and then walk... very nice pool area, too bad we were in september...

The room was modern but not too roomy. Our room got a smelly sewer from shower , need to adress that.

Breakfast was great, in fact it was the best we had during our stay ( 35 days ) in France....

The staff was always polite and friendly

It's a bit expensive if you take into account the location....

We chose the Hotel du Lavarin because it has a swimming pool & is close to Avignon. We stayed six nights which is why we wanted a pool to relax by.
Our room was modern in decor and the bathroom was a wet room. The housekeeping was excellent with the floors washed daily. The food in the restaurant was of an acceptable standard. When dining outside the mosquitoes were the only drawback.
The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, making for a very pleasant stay.
The parking at the hotel is a real benefit. Free parking at Parking des Allées de l'Oulle on the West side of the city made our daily visits easy. The access to the city is on foot through the city walls. We would definitely return to this hotel.
