Small hotel with small room but it's clean with comfy bed. Good location with many nice restaurants & cafés around. Staffs speaks good English and are helpful & friendly too. Heating system is too strong as I often have to open the windows for cold air but enjoyed as the air is fresh & I can listen to the bell from the nearby church. I also like that they have a bathtub.

Nothing could justify 4 stars! . For a superior room, the decoration was nonexistent and equipement very limited (no bath robe, no sleepers).
We are in the Provence Region in a beautifull city and nothing is done to match this atmosphere - white walls , only 2 littles pictures, 2 curtons useless and a noisy street... very disappointing
Front reception can`t recommend any restaurant for special occasion and they charge 17€ for a breakfast even though you could found nice coffee place at 5 min walk which offer french breakfast for 5€

Fantastic location, nice room overlooking the Palais de Papes. Friendly reception / concierge fluent in english, avoid the breakfast, better options outside, close to parking with discount offered if you are driving.

"Best" place to stay in Avignon.

Clean, lovely, very French, except the staff was extremely helpful and friendly (that's a good thing). Highly recommended; price was also very reasonable. It's possible there may be a nicer place in Avignon, and there are probably a number of cheaper places; but I challenge you to find a hotel which is both nicer and cheaper.

(And, you well definitely not find a better location!)

Room Tip: My room was an odd shape, but room size was excellent for France.

Small hotel right in the center of Avignon. Although the elevator is very small and slow, it is very loud and prevents from sleep. Parking is in city garage. Fairly comfortable, if you can figure how to get there in this old city. We were exposed to a horror of witnessing of the arrival of elderly 40-person English tour group. I could not believe that tiny lobby of the hotel, fit for 5 people, can handle so much luggage and people. I had to wrestle with English octogenarians to get out of hotel. I can imagine level of distress for the hotel staff when it happens...
On the good note, very helpful front desk. Alix helped us with restaurant advice and arrangements. It is difficult to find bad restaurant in France, but her recommendations were especially memorable.
Would pick again for location.

The location of this hotel in Avignon could not be better, right in the center of the city makes it easy to walk everywhere. However the listing of this hotel for four stars is quiet inflated, as neither in rooms, common areas, or service, has anything to justify it. Also, it has no parking.
It is a pleasant three star hotel with four star prices which is not fair.
The rooms are OK, nothing exceptional, with very good beds, but the bathrooms need some updating.
There are receptionists that can be helpful, in particular some of the ladies, and few of the men, however there are also some that just tolerate your presence.
The hotel is quiet clean but it requires some more active management, and certainly updating.

Room Tip: Do not go for a standard double room, these are extremely small, rather small singles. It is worth t...

Helpful staff, very clean, and in the center of town. My room had big windows that opened and I could catch a glimpse of the town square nearby. If you have physical disabilities, ask for a room closer to the elevator, as there are random stairs here and there that connect two (possibly more buildings) into the hotel. I did not have the hotel breakfast and instead found a nice bakery nearby.
