Whats behind the simple door you arrive at? A beautiful and spacious B&B. I was early and hadn't told Mdm Assad when I was arriving..but luckily she was there to let me in. Weather was unusually rainy and this was the perfect respite ..between my sightseeing...to dry out. Breakfast was wonderful..even though we had to sit in the kitchen because of the rain...I will have to go back so I can enjoy it in the courtyard!

Perfect accommodations and "base station" for your Provence vacation. Mme. Aida is a warm, wise, and ever-helpful host -- with excellent English. Le Clos is just inside the rampart, a mere 10-minute walk from Palais de Pape or "le marché" at Les Halles -- and a 10-second drive to the port where you exit the rampart to get quickly on your way for sightseeing outside the city.

We stayed for 3 nights in May 2013. Our room ‘Sapphire’ was spacious, clean and comfortable.
We could see the very pretty patio from the room.
Aida is an excellent hostess. She advised us where to go on the map and adjusted breakfast time (early morning) for us.
We spent the happy time in the wonderful accommodation.
I would stay at Aida’s accommodation again someday.

We stayed at Clos du rampart in May 2013 and had a wonderful experience staying in the home of the owner. Nice spacious room, great breakfast, friendly. Scenic Bathrooms were spacious. My wife and I would return happily. Highly recommended

This is the second time I am staying with Aida. After 4 years, returning to Avignon with another friend. Staying here at Le Clos du Rempart is a must for a comfortable, relaxing trip with a personal touch. The stay was perfect, convenient location at the heart of Avignon old town, perfectly clean and very nicely decorated room, delicious breakfast, relaxing patio and of course friendly and super helpful host. Not sure what more you can ask for.

I don't usually do these reviews but when the location, room/house and the hostess all each so special, I think i should! Hard to believe the privacy and quietness right inside the old walled city, but it is so. Aida was so helpful, friendly and open that we missed her shortly after moving on to the next place.... We did not even get to benefit from the courtyard due to the weather, but when it is nice outside, that area must really add further to people's enjoyment. I realize now that Avignon is a good location to base an exploration of the region for longer than our 3 days, and le Clos de Rempart is an excellent place to stay while there.

When we arrived in Avignon via TVG we hailed a taxi and arrived to Le Clos du Rempart we arrived shortly after (18.60 euro ride). We were greeted by Aida who is wonderful! She welcomed us in and showed us right to our room which was on the second level. We stayed in the Saphir room which was very large and comfortable feeling which was nice after staying in a small hotel in Paris for 4 days. After settling in, we went down and talked to Aida about what there was to eat around the area as well as what we enjoyed for breakfast. She made us dinner reservations at an amazing restaurant just down the way( about a 10 minute walk) called Le vache a carreaux. She was spot on with her choice and was one of the best meals we ate while on our trip. The next day she made us a wonderful breakfast and set us up with a place to eat for dinner the next day, which was also yummy.

Our time in Avignon was short, but staying at this wonderful B&B with Aida made us want to stay longer and we have already started talking about coming back and staying here again.
