We loved Le Limas. It is perfectly situated on a tree lined square, stylish and extremely comfortable. Marion made us feel very welcome, and she provides the best breakfast in Europe (and I'm not exaggerating!) This is a small hotel, and breakfast was a communal and convivial affair, chatting to the other guests and lingering over delicious food and good coffee. We also appreciated her advice on restaurants, museums, galleries, markets etc. It was great to sit up on the terrace, sipping a glass of wine and gazing over at the Palais des Papes after a busy day exploring this elegant and interesting city. We can't wait to return, to both Le Limas and Avignon. Thank you, Marion, for a very pleasant stay.

This B&B is a gem of a place situated in the heart of Avignon. Marion has a passion for art which is throughout the building. She obviously has a passion for her business and understands what her clients want and need, she is always willing to assist where she can. We would recommend Le Limas to any couples traveling to Avignon.

B&B is an understatement for describing Le Limas. Spotless and beautifully decorated this place is a gem. Marion is an absolute sweetie who cannot do enough for you. Breakfast is a treat. Perfect location. Secure. We wished we could have stayed much longer.

This modern, art house B&B a local 4 minute walk from most of the restaurants and shops met exactly what I wanted. As others have said it is up a few flights of stairs so be warned. Breakfast is lovely and sets you up for your day. I was surprised (although not bothered) by there being no TV. Bathroom is compact and a big shower (no bath). Its not cheap and you might want to forego some of the niceness if you are planning on being out and about more.

Le Limas was our first stop on our 2-week France vacation and my husband and I couldn't have been happier with our choice of accommodations. We stayed for 3 nights and on our first night, we were the only guests there. We booked the Cour room which is on the third floor. As others have noted, there is no elevator so be prepared to carry luggage, etc. up a winding staircase. The room was lovely and the bed extremely comfortable. It is on the smaller side and doesn't have a view but we were prepared for that and it didn't bother us. My husband is 6'6'' and I'm 5'10'' so the bathroom/shower was a bit cramped but, hey, that's France.

Breakfast was ample and delicious. And, you get to enjoy this wonderful meal while looking at gorgeous views of the Palace of the Popes on the terrace. (Word of caution to Americans who love their morning coffee like I do, France does a lot of things really, really well in the food and drink department but coffee is not one of them.) We spent the end of every day enjoying wine or champagne we bought during the day on that terrace.

The owner Marion is wonderful and extremely helpful. She's a hard worker and her passion for fine art is evident throughout Le Limas. We very much enjoyed her taste. She arranged for us to get a taxi when we departed. Thank you, Marion, for the great restaurant recommendations. We had some of the best meals of our trip in Avignon. Of note were L'Essentiel and Les Cinq Sens. HIghly recommend both.

The location is perfect for walking around Avignon or catching the bus to other destinations. We marveled at how anyone drove down or parked on those narrow, sometimes winding, streets. On more than one occasion, we were glad that we didn't have a car.

My only suggestion for Le Limas would be to provide bottled water in the room each day. We appreciated it on the day of our arrival but after spending every day touring and traveling for day trips, it would have been great to have gotten a fresh bottle since there aren't "convenience stores" nearby (or at least not that I saw) and even if there are, the prices are ridiculous.

Overall, you can't go wrong staying at Le Limas and we would definitely stay there again if we ever go back to Avignon. Enjoy and say hi to James Bond for us!

Stayed in the top floor room of this very modern B&B for 6 nights. Wonderful views from the terrace opposite our room where breakfast is served and room very comfortable and clean. Marien, the owner, is very helpful with advice on what to see and do and which restaurants are good. Would definately recommend it.

Room Tip: Top floor room has terrace opposite for great views but only velux window and small frosted window a...

This stay was a wonderful experience. Our host gave us her full attention and explained the highlights of the area. The room was tastefully decorated (very modern) and made full use of all space. Breakfast was a delightful experience, sitting on the roof overlooking the papal palace and most of Avignon. I would highly recommend this B & B for rest and recreation!!!

Room Tip: Ring early and discuss your needs (eg stairs and car parking)
