Three of us stayed overnight - one double room, one single. Staff very pleasant and helpful when we arrived and thereafter. We dined in the courtyard of the hotel and really enjoyed our meal. The hotel met our needs for the stay, and we would stay again, if in that area.

The most unhelpful objectionable reception staff of any hotel I have ever stayed in.The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and adequate for our needs but the staff ensured that the possibility of a return visit is zero.
The waitress at dinner tried her best but overall an experience best forgotten.
Everything had to paid on the spot, nothing to go on rooms bills. Passports demanded before we were given access to our rooms. Payment for dinner demanded straight after the meal. Fiasco !. A change of staff would do wonders.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your review, we really appreciate you take all your time to write all this information together.
You made a reservation with 12 other person (only 6 rooms) to be precise a team of amateur of cyclists and you reserved for one night in B&B only. If you travel a little bit as In International Hotel group, you know when you do the check in, usually they will ask you a passport detail and credit card detail for identity and in order to guaranty the room if something happen in the hotel.
We are really sorry if you take this demand to strongly it was only a matter of security for all our guests in the hotel.

The reception staff was surprise and didn’t understand when all of your group didn’t accept to give her all your passport detail. We really understand you made one hundred miles and you were really tired and we are so sorry if a big effort like this can put you in this way!! Usually when you do cycling it’s really for the spirit of the sport and happiness and even stronger when you are an amateur!!

All the professional cycling team we get at the SAFARI HOTEL each year are really satisfied with our staff member and nobody say that we were the most unhelpful hotel. We have the honour to get different famous team like SKYNET, Omega Pharma, and more important like Cavendish or Christ Froome who win the tour de France !!

At the restaurant, the waitress didn’t talk very good English but she try to make her best, but you really insisted to her several time that you were in half board and it wasn’t the case, it was a evidence of bad faith and after the diner that’s why the waitress ask all of you to paid directly and also like this you can live on the morning quickly.

Some of other client make negative remark about your group, you were disturbing them, you were making a lot of noise at the restaurant like you were alone and at the check out you wanted to paid before the other clients because you were in a hurry now that’s why the restaurant manager ask you to paid the restaurant after the diner the night before!! Because of this inappropriate situation, the other client kindly talks to the reception staff to leave you pass before them!!

Fortunately all the amateur and professional cycling team are not like you were, because you don’t represent at all the sport spirit and the spirit of the cycling people.

Difficult to fight with this kind of comment, if you are note coming back this not a problem, the problem it’s to make bad review when you are this kind of clients. We hope we will not have this kind of client again in our hotel.

We arrived at 7 p.m. after supporting a group of cyclists who has ridden in high temperatures for over one hundred miles from Mende only to be told that no room keys would be issued until all passports had been handed in and copied. The manageress was officious in the extreme. We were not allowed to put our drinks on our overall tab. The meal was adequate. The waitress was very nice and friendly but clearly had not been trained to handle such a disparate group. The manageress was physically going to prevent us from leaving the restaurant before we had paid, at 10 p.m., before she realised we were booked in for breakfast. She tried to apologise but the bad atmosphere was compounded when she stressed that she had our bikes under lock and key. The receptionist seemed harried and in cahoots with the whole treatment of our party so that the experience was a very antagonistic one. So different to our experiences at the more modest Logis at Le Teulet and Rians.

Easily the worst experience of our 10 hotel trip. Lovely shower and the rooms are nice but the reception and management make Basil Fawlty seem efficient and welcoming.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else.

We stayed as we were attending a wedding nearby, so this was recommended by the bride and groom. Not very picturesque, but very practical and spotlessly clean. Good foR business travel and the Wifi was strong.

We stayed here as we went to the Tour du France - it was ok - not much to look at but the pool was good and the sun terrace was well kept and lovely for a late afternoon chillout. Our room was small and quite dark with not balcony despite paying the same as our friends - they got a massive terrace. We ate in the restaurant which was ok - set menu made it fairly safe and the food was good although service was very slow, Overall ok but nothing special.

Our room was fine. The young woman at reception was very helpful and taught me the words for the heavy quilt we wanted to remove (couette), the lightweight blanket we wanted to replace it (coverture), and a top sheet to put it on (drap).

There were no restaurants nearby, so we ate in their empty dining room. The food wasn't memorable, but okay, and the maître d'/waiter scraped our plates at the table when he removed them.
