We went the winery on tour at this beautiful chateau estate in the middle of the vineyard. The views from atop the small hill are incredible. The location is private. Wish we had more time to explore, and wish we could have stayed overnight.

As you drive up, it feels like stepping into a movie. The owners are very accommodating and are eager to assist you in making the most of your time in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. We were a little worried about not enjoying this wine region as much as someone with more expertise in wine tasting, but the owners recommended vineyards where they helped us enjoy the experience. Perfect location for exploring the area. The food was gourmet, and when accompanied by the views while dining out on the patio, it felt almost dreamlike. You can walk or bike on a path through the vineyards to get into the actual town. Perfect for R&R or exploring the region. My only disappointment was that the time went too fast!

Room Tip: Ask for one of the rooms with an "older castle feel". A few of the rooms are more moderniz...

This chateau- set in the middle of a vineyard-makes you feel like you are a fairy princess staying here. The rooms and bathroom are huge and the property has ample space for parking. They have bikes you can rent and are close to Chateauneuf du Pape to do some wine searching and close to Avignon to see the Palais du Papes. We had a very enjoyable 2 nights here. The food was excellent from their restaurant and the eating out on the pebbled terrace delightful. They arranged for a tour of the winerie La Nerthe - which is next door and it was quite interesting to see the caves and taste the wine that is sold to very famous restaurants around the world. My dream was to stay in a castle in the middle of a vineyard and it came true here. Laurent and Martine have a passion for what they do as the owners and are very accommodating and helpful.

Room Tip: If you have small hand luggage you may want to see if the room at the top- with it's own sweepin...

The location is superb and the driveway is like something out of Gladiator! The interior of the chateau is a little dull and I don't think I would have enjoyed our stay if we hadn't been able to sit outside and take in the beautiful scenery. My room though was beautifully furnished and the bed was very comfortable. A shower curtain would have been appreciated though! The pool was nice although I couldn't understand the point of the gate which is tricky to use and for the two hours that I sat by the pool only one person out of about eight was able to open it unassisted! We enjoyed a lovely bottle of champagne on the terrace before dinner but we did have to find a member of staff to serve us first. Finally, dinner was delicious and service was good throughout the meal.

Room Tip: Don't get one on the ground floor and ask for one with a balcony.

A very exciting building with a wonderful terrace with view of the vineyard and surrounding landscape. Very polite staff with good English spoken. We enjoyed a nice dinner accomplished with vine and loved that we did not have to drive. Rooms were nice, clean and beds were comfortable. I can definitely recommend it.

We just returned from three nights here and would highly recommend a stay at the castle. The location is perfect.....between Orange and Avignon - with so much to do in the area! The setting is spectacular and the drive up the tree-lined road to the castle feels like it is out of a movie set. The hotel staff were very welcoming and very accomodating as well (we had to leave very early and they ensured all was taken care of for an early am departure the night before). We had a deluxe room at the top of the donjon - it was beautiful and spacious and most importantly had access through a small door in the room, up a winding staircase to the top of the donjon for a 360 degree view. We spent lots of time enjoying the view, drinking wine, and enjoying cheese and macaroons! This is the only room with this access and there is a smal table and two chairs to just sit and enjoy!! Truly a unique setting and it made our stay!! We also had dinner at the restaurant (outside as the weather was perfect) two nights and had excellent food. A great menu and great chef.....wait staff was a bit unfriendly but perhaps that was my rusty French!! We would absolutely recommend this hotel for a special stay in Provence - a bit pricey but completely worth it!!

Room Tip: All rooms are unique and lovely but we would recommend the deluxe room at the top of the donjon with...

Awesome place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly and the location is magical. We were there with a baby and it was very convenient to eat at the great restaurant without leaving home.
