Its an island monastery , functioning on multiple levels . You can go to mass , buy wine made from the grapes tended to by the monks themselves , eat at the restaurant , which looking at the menu is comprehensive and substantial . St Honorat is an island to sail up to , anchoring in the bay along side the island and spending the night there is a treat in itself . The waters were calm, the tranquility sublime . The priests/ monks are friendly and helpful. A quiet little prayer in the simple church with other day trippers and you may feel at peace with your world. everything is at peace on the tiny island of St Honorat , I recommend you go there too.

I sit drinking a bottle of red wine produced and bottled from the island, eternally grateful for the amazing time my girlfriend and I had on Saint-Honorat. The fortified monastery was a treat to climb, the actual monastery itself was beautiful and wonderfully photogenic, and the scenery on and around the island was unforgettable.

I'd argue St Honorat is possibly more beautiful than St Marguerite because it has a more peaceful vibe. We didn't get a chance to dine at the island's restaurant, but it has a prime position on the seafront and the menu looked tasty.

I'd recommend this island to anyone in Cannes, Nice, even St Tropez, as a half-day trip. There's plenty of photo opportunities and secluded sunbathing spots - really great day for young or old, or solo, couple, or family travellers.

Not to be missed!

This gem, is not only extremely breath taking in apearance but also quiet and perfect for a historically informing and relaxing walk. The beaches are perfect for family picnics and the wine is divine. Make a day excursion to this lovely slice of heaven! Thefood at the restaurant is tasty too;)

This beautiful little island is covered in grape vines and peace. Stepping foot on the island and walking around seeing all the different grape vines that the Monks themselves harvest to produce the smooth wine. The island is just peace. Our busy little trip was grounded by the nature and quiet of this place. A must side trip. The wine is smooth and a taste all of its own. We bought a few bottles to bring back with us and have been enjoying them as much as we can at home.
