Getting a decent burger on the Cotes d'Azur is a tall order. Perhaps you shouldn't be thinking of such low brow cuisine. But if it's a mega burger you're after....look no further. We had the deluxe (with 2 big lumps of foie gras) 25e two cheese burgers 20e and a plain burger 18e plus a bottle of House red 24 euro. Fries and salads are 4e extra. Relishes came in neat individual glass jars. A nice touch.
The meat here really is chopped and prepared individually. Big plump burgers that can be cooked to order. Rare, medium or well done. The open plan kitchen is spectacular as it is clean and inviting.
Sometimes, just sometimes only a burger will do. We got the train back into Nice thinking we had eaten a house. You need to walk right through the port basin and Old Town market to find this modern and stylish bar and restaurant which is on the way out to Juan les Pins on the sea front by by the museum. Make the effort. The steaks looked cool but with prices considerably higher we will have to return on another occassion.
