Having looked at the hotel's website and reading the reviews on this site we were expecting to be feeling pretty smug: it looked like a great find.

However, upon our arrival (at around 10pm) the night porter seemed most put out at having to show us to our room. This somewhat indifferent attitude was clearly infectious as all reception staff seemed to display similar symptoms. Maybe we were singled out as black sheep because we didn't partake in their overpriced breakfast (see below.)

Rooms are on the small size and basic. The walls - certainly in our room - were wafer thin so the comings and goings of other guests were more noticeable than we would have liked them to be.

As is common with most French hotels, breakfast is not included in the rate and, at €10 a person, we found it poor value for money. There are a number of excellent places in Antibes and you can get much more for your money there.

One thing to bear in mind is that, if you don't have a car, Anitbes is a 20 min + walk. Close to the hotel there is only a pharmacy, a small convenience store and a bar/restaurant (that we didn't venture into.)

In summary, it's a clean and basic hotel but please don't be misled by photos and reviews that make it seem anything more than that.

The hotel is in a very upscale residential area and the 2 buildings look like old villas (which I guess they are). The reception area is rather stark and not very appealing as are the hallways. Our room was on the small side but had big windows and its own patio. The bathroom was not large but was modern enough and hot water and water pressure were fine. The breakfast waa good and the enclosed courtyard seating made it quite pleasant.
There is no lift so if you're on the upper floor you'll have to drag your suitcase up.
We had a car and had to drive to eat, shop etc.
It's not a bad place but as my mother would say, "nothing to write home about".

after a delayed flight, and a detour because of the road up in antibes we were greeted by the night porter with a cold bottle of chardoney, which we drank on our beatiful terrace. then followed a blissful, restful week, all the staff and management were most helpful, the bedroom, pool and public rooms spotless. the advertised restaurant was not available, however within a 100 metres was the oasis " jardan le pin" a local bar / restuarent with excellent food and wine run by beutiful kiwi susan and the charming gallic patron gerrard. it is essentual to have a car as much of the beutiful coast is not easily available by public transport. for the special occasion to dine at the keller restaurent on the nearby beach was outstanding but you must book. forget all those stories about the unfriendly and unhelpful french they don't exist on the cap du antibes. we didn't want to leave!

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights recently. The photos of the hotel do it justice, and is is in a lovely setting. Only downside was lack of restaurants open locally, at least 15 min walk to nearest. However, we loved it here and used to get a bus from just outside the hotel to either Antibes or Juan le Pins. We enjoy walking, and used to walk into the towns also. There is a lack of taxis to get back at night though.

We quite enjoyed our stay at this inn. Although this is an exclusive residential area, this place was a good value. Our room was small but opened up onto a landscaped courtyard which made it seem bigger. The bathroom was tiny but new and clean. The breakfast was 10 euros extra but was very nice with eggs and cereal in addition to the standard breads. We had to leave early in the morning to catch a flight in Nice. The nice man who was at the desk helped us get our luggage in the car and saw us off. That was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this hotel as quiet retreat on the Riviera. It's not fancy but well-run and friendly.

Stayed here in August of 2003. A very nice hotel with a wonderfull pool. This is a small hotel and the price is right. The rooms where nice, a tad small, but w/AC and really nice bathrooms. The Cap d'Antibes is a wonderfully quiet place to stay without all of the dingyness of Antibe and some of the other riviera towns. But a word of caution, if you are looking for the center of attention, nightlife, dining, shopping within walking distance, you won't find it here. But if you have a car, it is perfect. Just a short walk to a very nice beach with nice Restaraunts right on the beach. And again the pool was great. They have some nice pictures that do it justice on their site: ...
