This hotel is an easy walk from the railway station. The room I had was on the fourth floor with a distant view of the water. The room was pretty large (compared to my room in Paris); bed a little worn - indent where others had slept over many years. Bathroom door didn't shut properly and the room/bathroom had a septic smell. Noise from street if window is opened, but that seems to be typical France (and adds to atmosphere). Staff helpful and friendly and spoke English. Free wifi, safe in room and fridge - which is a bonus. They allow dogs in the rooms. Would recommend for an overnight stay, and it is a good price.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Great location, clean rooms, and the staff were all lovely. They gave us a room at the end of the hall at no additional charge. The room was large and afforded the opportunity for great people watching from windows at the center of the "star" -where six streets come together. Bathroom too was large and clean with endless hot water. I would stay here again.

This was the fourth time I have stayed at the Etoile. It is really convenient for the old town ,the station and the main square. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms although a little basic are clean and the bathroom a good size.I think it offers really good value for money and have been happy to recommend it to friends.

Stayed here Saturday 18th to Wednesday 22nd Sept.
We picked this hotel mainly for budget and locality and both hit the spot. It was very reasonably priced, and 10 min walk brought you to the bustling sea front, (bus stop just across road ).
Our room was large by French standards and very clean. it had double glazing and the traffic outside was not a problem. Mini bar ,fridge, safe and hairdryer in ours.
Fresh towels, and bed made every day. The staff were very friendly and there was a steady influx of guests.
Breakfast was served between 7.30-10.30 (6.50 euro), perfect if you fancied a lie in.
One and only complaint would be the air con.It looked a bit dated and blew cold air upwards and not downward so the room temp never really changed. Not much of a problem as it was middle Sept ,but in the height of summer things might be a bit different.
All in all a good stay and would certainly use the place again.

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Here's why

First, the staff. They were very polite and made sure we were comfortable. At no time did I feel they were rude, condescending or anything of the sort. Most of them spoke English well which made it very easy on us and they were more then happy to let us come and go as we pleased.

Second, the rooms (by French standards) was huge. We had a double and there was plenty of space for our stuff. Taking a break from sightseeing was a pleasure since we had air conditioning and English TV to watch. The decor is outdated, but really, who cares? We didn't spend that much time in the room because either we were at the beach, or out seeing the sights. The room was VERY clean and was well kept by the maids.

Third, the location is fantastic. You are a 5-10 minute walk to the old town in Antibes and the beach. Antibes was a great town to stay in...we loved it. You can also very easily get to the tourist information center, the bus stop and the train stop in Antibes. Nothing is really more than a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel.

Overall, this hotel is an excellent value. We were nervous (since it was so much cheaper then anything else near it) that it would not be so great, but it turned out to be a fantastic place to stay.

This hotel has the most amenities one could want for the money (minifridge, a/c, a safe, huge by Europe standards). The shower is very small considering the large size of the bathroom, and it is easy to accidentally turn it off while showering, but it still works! Parking was confusing, because the front desk woman was new, but we got a spot in their garage for a reasonable 6 euros per day. It's about a ten minute walk to the old town, and is located in a pretty busy area (but the room is quiet). We would stay again if in Antibes and looking for an inexpensive hotel.
