Ate at Chez Lulu on Saturday - didn't know what we were letting ourselves in for but had a super evening - there is no menu so this restaurant wouldn't suit everyone - you just have to go with the flow - you may, or may not, have to share your table with other guests - on Saturday the starters consisted of pate de compagne, rillettes of pork, carrot salad, red cabbage salad, lentils, boiled eggs and delicious smoked fish all brought to the table - the main course was casserole of veal with rice (you serve yourself from a sideboard) and there were seven puddings (you serve yourself from another sideboard). Us Brits and the other 20 guests (French) got on very well and we all chatted across the restaurant - a super, if different evening. The staff were very friendly and attentive - good atmosphere. Will return in July.
