Took a chance to drop in for lunch, on seeing that there were quite a few customers already eating there. Attentive and helpful staff and very good food (we had pizza and a salad, as well as the kids menu). It's on a fairly busy street, so no scenic views and you do have traffic passing by.... but I'm more than happy to recommend.

Nice place to stop in for lunch on a busy day. Service steady and professional. Nice pizzas and salads, the paella was very good, the illy coffee was great too. Well priced in a pricey part of town.

I will tell you first, I am a chef... So maybe I'm too fussy. This is the sort of place you would only eat when weary from travel and not wanting to venture too far from lodgings.

Paella - frozen shellfish, dry and utterly boring, after being told 20 minutes wait on the dish it was 45 before we saw it

Scallop linguine - no seasoning, way too much cream. No colour on the scallops at all...

My other half had cod or something, utterly boring!

I would say this is a locals restaurant where tourists come second.

If you want good food in the area walk a little further to the harbour of Villefranche and go to La Mare Germaine!! Stunning and excellent service 3 courses for €45 or walk further down the street to the next restaurant (green outdoor area). Welcoming with good food (I had tuna tartare, great!)

The food here was good and excellent value for money but on the night we ate there it took over 2 hours for a 2 course meal. It wa not busy on the night. I felt they looked after the locals very well and the tourists got served therefatre.
