Amazing, friendly service and a nice quiet setting. The food was perfection. We opted for the set menu, which was an excellent value at 35euro each. A great wine selection. We enjoyed this restaurant immensely. I wouldn't take children, more of a couples setting.

Famous resataurant in old Cannes . Good food escpacially the risotto and the lamb chops. Howerver to expensive. We prefered the Bistro Gourmand for 1/3 of the price.

My husband and I decided to try Mantel based on recommendations in The Telegraph and Conde Nast Traveller. We were not disappointed and had a very delightful, relaxing and enjoyable evening. Even though Mantel doesn't have a terrace like many of the restaurants on rue St. Antoine, the various small rooms create an intimate, relaxed and convivial atmosphere. The staff is highly customer orientated going the extra mile to ensure all needs are met, even special dietary requirements that other restaurants often struggle with. Food was imaginative, freshly prepared and tasty. Overall it was excellent value for money and a memorable experience on our first night in Cannes.

Having read a number of good reviews we were excited to try this restaurant but were disappointed on a number of points. The food was reasonably good but nothing to rave about, the atmosphere was rather dull and the waiting staff though pleasant did not make you feel very relaxed. Would not choose to eat here again.

Mantel is just off Le Suquet on a corner and well worth a visit. We had researched restaurants in Cannes and the general consensus amongst the reviews was that it was amongst the best reasonably priced establishments in the area. On arrival at 8.30 on a Saturday evening the restaurant was pretty quiet but it was about half full by the time we left. The number of people was certainly not anything to be concerned about as it was out of season and in many respects we benefitted from superior service as a result. We both opted for the set menu of and both selected the Chicken Caesar Salad to start and Guinea Fowl for mains. The salad was lovely and the choice of bread accompanied it well. The mains were nicely presented with a good selection of vegetables. We selected a Rose on the advice of the waiter and it went well with the meal. Desserts were equally lovely - Creme Brûlée and one that I can't recall. We finished off with a couple of cognacs - a bit steep at 15 euros each but none-the-less, it made a fitting end to an enjoyable experience in a classy looking setting. Recommended.
