Guillaume is a young chef with great talent, the food is succulent and affordable not easy to combine both on the French Riviera. Each time I eat there I am unable to decide as everything sounds and looks good and if like me "your eyes are bigger than your stomach" you may want to come back to try something different, a lovely little bistro at only few steps of one of the most busiest market on the Cote d'Azur

It is obvious this restaurant is frequented by locals as the menu is in French. However, the man serving us that night did a great job of explaining the set menus in English and ensuring we had a wonderful dining experience. I was really impressed with the slow-cooked lamb with eggplant, and the meat would just melt in my mouth with every bite. Parfait!

Enjoyed the three course lunch at 19 Euros. Cold asparagus soup and mackerel pâté were slightly bland as appetizers. Vegetable lasagna entree, principally eggplant, was generous and tasty. Fish entree, local catch of the day, equally acceptable if undistinguished. Highlight of the meal was a fruit salad of fresh preachers and apricots topped with iced mint and a splash of grand marnier.

Eat inside, not outside on the sidewalk of the narrow street. The decor is modern, single room with high headroom. Ask for a corner table if reserving for dinner.

As indicated by other reviewers, only locals eating here, always a good sign.

The local that referred us to this place lives nearby and suggested lunch. After spending 2 hours walking around the market place, we did not have to walk too far (around the corner) to have lunch at 10 Rue Dr Pierre Gazagnaire.

Plate Dejour, Ja why pay more than 19 euro's for a true lunch time restaurant experience in France. Try and do that in Sydney?! No hope

Entree salad nitoise had so much colour and variety in it we needed sun glasses, the main was fish fillet (fish of the day) and enough vegetable puree and pome frites to fill the plate.

Desert was again full of colour and flavours that would put a hatted restaurant to shame.

It was the bottle of Rose we selected that nearly doubled the cost, but that was a personal choice.

Do yourself a favour, after spending some time at the markets, have an early lunch at thsi Bistro, the food and service are excellent!
