My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay in Cannes and at the hotel Le Canberra. Although small, our room was bright, sunny and felt very French. The location of the hotel was fantastic, right next to the nicer part of the beach, great shopping (on the same street), restaurants and bars.

Positives:
- Lovely room, sunny with a great balcony
- Great location right next to everything you need in Cannes!
- Free wifi
- Good service

Negatives:
- Although the hotel had a pool, we actually didn't use it for a number of reasons. Firstly the pool has no views and the beach is just down the road. Secondly there weren't many sun beds around the pool and they were usually taken
- Service was good, but not consistent. We had to wait for a very long time to check in as they were highly understaffed. Also some of the staff were extremely helpful in regards to tours and advice, while others we not at all
- Breakfast is extremely expensive and it's much cheaper to have it outside the hotel, which was a shame

Overall this was a lovely hotel and we really enjoyed our time. Next time we probably would stay at a hotel with no pool and spend the money on the sunbeds (very expensive 20 euro) instead. However if you would prefer a pool, this hotel is perfect.

I booked this hotel as a romantic birthday getaway for my husband and I, we stayed 2 nights and loved the hotel. From the moment we checked in we felt very relaxed (the only stress was getting a parking space as someone had taken the allocated space we had paid for, but this was quickly corrected). The outside area is beautiful, and good for watching the world go by. The room was a good size with Juliette Balcony French doors that opened overlooking the pool. We did eat at the restaurant on the Friday night, it was quiet (we were out of season and lunchtimes were very busy), the food and wine were of a high standard, and seemed good value for what we ordered. The only thing is that breakfast is not included in the price, but as you are in France there are plenty of little restaurants, cafes etc in the bustling streets, would definitely recommend this hotel.

We can only add more praise to the already glowing reviews! The hotel is a gem, an oasis of calm and class just off the busy & bustling Cannes seafront ... spotlessly clean, modern and brilliantly designed ... the pool was perfect and all of the staff were great! A special mention for Josette on reception who was extremely helpful, professional and welcoming! We had free wifi, free parking for 5 days, breakfast was very good and the whole stay was an absolute pleasure!

Hotel Canberra is a perfect boutique hotel. The decor is stylish, our Junior suite was spacious and very clean. The service from all staff is exceptional. We had a superb breakfast each morning and spent time lounging by the small but well appointed pool area. Location ideal and we will return to the Hotel Canberra very soon.

The location was excellent and within close walking distances to the shops, beach and restaurants. We stayed in a family room (garden suite) facing the pool on the 3rd floor. The room was very well decorated with good facilities. Too bad we only stayed for one night.

Parking was limited but free (4 lots) but the hotel is not easy to reach in the sense that there are many 'one way streets' in Cannes and my maps on the GPS was not updated. Nearby parking will set you back by 25 euros per night.
