My friend and I went to Cannes for a long weekend - flying on Sleazyjet - so thought we would go for a 4* hotel - and picked Le Canberra - through expedia. The hotel upgraded us upon arrival to a junior suite - it was so clean and chic and right on Rue d'Antibes - which has great shops on it. Hotel is about 3 mins walk from the front. The pool looked nice -but we went to the beach - warning - Very Very expensive beds! Avoid Z plage - 66 euros for 2 beds! General price is a bout 20 euros a bed - still pricey. Z plage in the evening though has a great atmosphere - but again 18euros a cocktail isn't cheap! Back to the hotel - only down point was no balcony so towels couldn't dry easily after a day at the beach. Back facing rooms should be OK though. Lots of toiletries - dressing gowns and big towels too. Super comfy comfy beds and BBC 1 and 2 if you need a bit of home news or Eastenders fix... Enjoy...

I travelled to Cannes for a conference and searched for a good deal.

After reviewing a number of hotels I opted for the Canberra. About €100 cheaper than the beachfront hotels. My main selling point was the fact that the more expensive hotels had poor room ratings, the Canberra did not.

I was pleasently surprised with the room, I was in 102. It was quite spacious and had an excellent finish. Bed was comfortable and had a great bathroom. It was not a rain shower but the head was massive and water pressure was strong.

Decor is fantastic and I could not fault the cleanliness at all.

I did not spend much time in the hotel and did not eat there. However all staff were pleasand and always greeted me when passing by. Over all I was very happy with my choice and when in Cannes I will definatley stay there again.

Hotel Canberra is a cool boutique hotel in central Cannes. We stayed there 1 week.
We had a suite but the size was not fantastic. I guess the normal rooms must be pretty small. The location is good, close to beach, shoping and restaurants. The hotel have a cool style all over, colours, music, furniture, pictures, everything looks great.
The service was also ok. Nice small garden and pool. Only negative was prices on drinks and breakfeast. 21 euro for that breakfest is a shame!! And the drinks also was totally overprized. The bar and restaurant was not busy, and the reason are the menu and the prices. Allover is this a nice hotel and i would go here again. Just eat and drink elsewhere.

Amazing little Boutique Hotel in the Center of Cannes just between the famous Croisette and the shopping are "Rue d'antibes"
Everything is totally Clean, Rooms and Public Areas have been remodeled a short time ago in a very modern and trendy way! A nice little garden are with pool, lounge bar and the restaurant's terrace!
The staff was very helpful spoke perfect english and knew how to help us on several matters.
Only negative would be the tiny Car Park ( 3 places)
But i will come back for sure!

We stayed at Le Canberra for four nights and were really pleased. The staff is very helpful and polite, the hotel & rooms are clean and modern, the location is really good. The standard rooms aren't too big though but for use they were big enough. The breakfast was really tasty and plentiful, even though it is a bit pricey ar 21€ per person. From the nice cote d'azur, take the 210 direct airport bus. It arrives at the train station, couple blocks from the hotel. Bus fare is about 15€ per person.
