We (couple) stayed here at the end of August 2013. Just a bit of perspective - we were in Cannes to celebrate a friends birthday but thought (quite rightly) that the 'wedding cake' hotels on the sea front were full of people with more money than sense, or people who don't but like to give that impression to others. Getting value for money and good service at this time of year is almost impossible in this part of the world. You are 90% certain to massively overpay for something that couldn't be given away any other time of the year, and thats something that makes me sleep badly at night. BUT we worked hard on the research and eventually found this place. As you can see, there's no schizophrenic "brilliant" then "awful" run of reviews to confuse the hell out of you like almost everything else. The hotel is super clean, recently renovated, pretty, quiet, well positioned and run by a delightful family who provide a high level of polite and efficient service. Unlike some family run hotels, that service wasn't overbearing or trying too hard. If you needed them they were there, if you reported anything they acted on it, and they asked polite but simple questions about your stay and whether there was anything they could do to help. The rooms are small but intelligently designed with plenty of storage space. Our room didn't have a bath and I'm not sure if others do, but the shower was a lovely overhead one with very good water pressure. The balcony was lovely (we had a garden view room) and we sat on it in the evenings with a bottle of wine. You don't have a sea view, but the beach front is only a 5 minute amble away. There is a nice little shop right next door that does wine and bits of food, but be careful - the wine there is horribly overpriced. If you look hard theres a 5 euro bottle of blush thats very nice towards the bottom of the shelves near the door (they keep it well hidden!!). Also theres a nearby pharmacist thats open on a Sunday (everything else is shut). All in all very nice and you will have a pleasant stay. We paid around 150 euros a night which is about right. We'd have paid a little more maybe given the time of year but anything that greatly exceeds this and the hotel starts competing with the higher end hotels. All in all a lovely hotel, great service. We had a lovely time and will be back.
