“ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS - WHAT A FIND!!!!!!!”
Reviewed 1 June 2013

Mmm where to start.....
Great position, fabulous room (the best one is Saline as it has the loveliest terrace), great food cooked with love and attention by the lovely Valerie and sometimes helped by the equally indispensible Sylvie. Thierry is very nice too and all made our 5 day stay this last week so memorable that I wouldn't know where to begin. The bed linen is fabulous, the bathroom divine, the quality and the no-expense-spared is very evident. The swimming pool is amazing, the gardens luxurious, the sunbeds comfortable, the breakfasts served with attention and discretion on the terrace in the room. The food is caribbean inspired and is DELICIOUS. Why go out when you can stay in, relax drink damn good wine and have a wonderful caribbean cocktail? We arrived on Sunday and didn't get in the car until Friday morning. You just don't have to. The walk down Les Petits Juas is beautiful (stick to the pavements - the Cannois are fast drivers!) and the walk back up long, taxi 9.80 Euros, Bus No 2.
Having lived in France for over 30 years and never having come to the Cote D'Azur we were so anxious about where to staybut I am delighted that we got it SO right.
Cannes is extraordinary - rich but the Cannes of the early days can still be seen and felt. There is a good feeling here once you get over the bling. Yes the Russians have arrived, yes the yachts are huge and yes the diamonds are bright and the ladies heels ridiculously high but forget all that after 2 days of gawping and get on a boat over to the island of St Honorat and enjoy. It is stunning and not to be missed. A very special place is Cannes Villa St Barth and one that I could not recommend highly enough.

Room Tip: Saline has the best terrace and we had a sneaky peek at the Gustavia too and it is fabulous!

I stayed at the Cannes Villa St Barths for 5 nights with my girlfriend and must say it was perfect. If you imagine having your own private villa in Cannes this is it. The owners are on site and always at hand to help. With only 4 rooms the Villa will only ever accommodate 8 guests which is perfect, almost hardly ever saw another guest. It is about a 15 minute (fast pace) walk up from the centre of Cannes or a 8 to 10 euro taxi. Food is reasonably priced along with drinks so sitting by the pool all day or on their sun deck drinking rose will not set you back a ridiculous amount.

Just book it... you won't regret it...

I stayed at the lovely Cannes Villa St. Barth whilst attending a conference in Cannes and was absolutely delighted with my stay. It is about 2km away from la Croisette and up a very steep hill, so it isn't the most convenient place to stay, but it is so much nicer than anything at a similar price right in the centre of town.

It's best to think of this place as a luxury B&B rather than a hotel - it's a small family business with four large rooms. This isn't the place to come for old school Cannes glamour and formality, it's relaxed and modern and, in my opinion, much better. Valerie and Thierry are wonderful hosts - friendly, welcoming and attentive. They are clearly passionate about their business and they provide a relaxed and unobtrusive but personal service.

My room was beautiful - great bed, minimalist style with a warm, concrete effect bathroom with a huge bath. Perfect for unwinding after a long day of work. Lots of storage space, mini bar filled with soft drinks, nice robes and lovely fluffy towels.

It was winter when I stayed, so I didn't use the garden facilities, but the pool looked beautiful. If I ever return in summer, I will certainly be making use of it. I also had a decent sized private terrace attached to my room. I was working and didn't use the spa facilities so can't comment on those.

Valerie very kindly prepared dinner for me one night so that I didn't have to venture back into town in the rain and I had a killer bœuf bourguignon with potato dauphinoise that I ate on the terrace.

I would recommend this place to anyone - I was on business, but it is a romantic, quiet place perfect for couples wanting to spend some time together. Similarly, I felt completely comfortable as a single man in need of a great bedroom to relax in whilst on business.
