This place has terrible service... Rude, unhelpful and quite annoying. The food is very bland with nothing special despite portions being large. Overall stay away.

We went there for lunch. We ordered a burger, beef raviolis, a chicken panini and a chicken club. The burger was really yummy and different than classical burgers. The fries were so good too. The beef raviolis and the chicken panini were average. The chicken club on the other hand was very tasty. The food and it quality was very good but we thought what payed was too much for some sandwitches. (90 euros). The waiter was friendly but the orders took forever to arrive.

The first thing you notice about Cinquanta Caffe is that the prices for the starter courses don't differ hugely from the main courses; both are expensive, so if you're peckish, the bill mounts up sharpish. On both occasions that I ate there, my original waiter seemed to disappear half way through the meal and no one took on the responsibility of my table - which after a while, I just found annoying.

When the food did arrive, it was very tasty (had a salad to start and a burger to follow). But it really was hard to enjoy with the staff loudly moving around tables, shouting various instructions / observations / jokes to each other all the while WHIZZING about the place with that unique French arrogance. Now, I do like a bit of that and I guess when the place is busy its effect might dissipate a little, but at E60 for two courses and a glass of wine, a tiny bit of love wouldn't go amiss..

Staff let this place down badly.
