Love the oldy-worldy feeling of this hotel and its beautiful breakfast room. Worth paying a little extra and having one of the seafront rooms for the view and the balcony. Family run and the staff personally welcome you back everytime. Prime location if you are in Cannes to shop.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room was clean, very good comfortable bed, good breakfast in very beautiful room with terrace. The atmosphere of the hotel was so positive that you do not pay attention to some minor imperfections. The stuff was very helpful and always friendly and very quick. Location of the hotel is simply perfect. Next time I will stay at this hotel again.

We stayed in the hotel for two days. Although we booked for a classic city view room we were upgraded to the sea view room for the same price. This is not one of the more expensive chain establishments but a historic family-run hotel which makes it more exclusive. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms are not huge but comfortable. The location is very central with the main shopping street and the port within walking distance. Definitely recommended.

The modestly priced hotel was in a great central location to see all of Cannes. The Marina is across the street with great boardwalks to see the huge yachts. Restaurants, bars, and shopping are very close. 1 block from the Film Festival; 3 blocks from the sandy beach. The rooms were clean and service was great.

Room Tip: Recommend a room on the 4th or 5th floor with a balcony overlooking the marina and the Mediterranean...

We went to the south of france 1 week before the formula 1race and few day before the festival of cannes! This hotel is perfect situaded! We were 4 people, i asked for a suite and the offred us the appartment at the top of the hotel! For 100€ the night. This was just perfect, enough space for everybody the magnific vieuw to the casino and the harbour. If we stay in cannes again u will do my best to go there again. Its 5 min from the croisette, 25 min from montecarlo, 40min from st. Tropez. Perfect price quality

At some point in it's past, this hotel was undoubtedly quite a special place. It's a very imposing building in an absolutely prime location by the marina. That having been said, the grandeur is now somewhat faded and my room was definitely on the small side for the money that I paid.

The staff though were very friendly and the location could hardly be more perfect. It is probably more 'Hotel Adequate For The Money' than 'Hotel Splendid'.

Don't be fooled by the photos you see on Hotel Splendid's website. We purchased a room and the day we arrived found out it was NOT one of the beautiful, balconied rooms fronting the harbor, but a tiny room overlooking the street-side of the building. When we asked if we could change to a room on the harbor side, and pay more if necessary, the reception said they were all sold out.

The traffic in this little town is ridiculously backed up due to construction and overcrowding. When you pull in, you have to stop in the middle of the street so you can move the barriers for the check-in temporary parking and no one steps out to help or greet you. Then the female receptionist greets you with a distant glare as if you interrupted her important routine? Then you re-park the car in a private garage for 24 euros a night. And finally when you enter the tiny room you notice some street noise. Well you REALLY notice the street noise after some carousing, shouting youths wake you up hour after hour until dawn. Seriously, when we retrieved the car the next morning these idiots were still fighting and yelling in the street below, which is VERY audible in the hotel rooms above.

The rooms on the harbor side may be nice but we'll never know. Buyer Beware if you want a good night sleep or a beautiful balcony view over the harbor!
