We stayed here in March 14 when we went to visit my elderly Aunt who lives up the road opposite.
The hotel was booked through one of the discount hotel websites and included breakfast. I see from other reviews that breakfast was not what they expected but maybe the hotel has listened as we got excellent breakfasts and it was nice enough to sit outside.
The duty receptionist looks after breakfast and she just kept on coming out with food. There was fruit juice, bread. coissantes of different types, yoghurts, cereal, cold meats and cheese and scrambled eggs with bacon. The teapot only had one teabag so take your own.
The rooms were well appointed with a decent bed, sufficient storage, table and chair. We were on the road side of the hotel so working air conditioning would be an advantage. I found I could only get warm air out of our system, it is possible the chiller was held off if the outside air is too low (I work in the industry). We kept the window open at night but it was quiet and therefore ok.
The rooms have a free safe and a fridge.
The bathroom was a good size with a separate toilet. The shower was on a flexible hose from the bath and clipped on the wall, hot water can take a minute or so to arrive. Caution there is nothing to hold onto when getting in and out of the bath so take care!
We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and always greeted with a smile. The bar is located behind reception but we didnot use it. Reception was always very hot.
The hotel is located at the eastern end of the Rue d'Antibes but it is only a 10 minute walk to the sea front and 15 minutes to the Palais du Congress. There are eateries in the square opposite both French and Italian but this is Cannes so nothing is cheap especially drinks bought in bars and restaurants.
Off the square to the left is a Spar supermarket and another small supermarket beyond that if you require supplies and further down still is a Monoprix and the market. The station is 5 minutes walk from the market.
Quick tip for Cannes for a snack and a glass of wine. Head for the bus station just beyond the harbour towards the castle and there you will find a number of small cabins. We have tried most of them, they are fairly cheap, friendly and can speak enough English if your French is limited.
