This was an amazing hotel. We loved the employees and was greeted by the Manager who even left us a welcome card and fruit basket. While it is a few blocks from the water, its worth the walk! The room was great and had a very comfortable bed. We loved the breakfast as well as the cocktail hour. The breakfast was better than any continental breakfast we have ever had, and the manager even serves you drinks! Next time we come to Cannes, we will definitely be staying here!

The hotel looks elegant and you are given a warm welcome by the staff. In fact all the staff were warm and hospitable - very helpful. The room was comfortable, pleasant and clean. I would definitely stay there again. The breakfast was plentiful and varied and the food was good quality. We also enjoyed the happy hour which seemed to last most of the evening. As we were not leaving until the evening on our departure date, the hotel stored our luggage and let us use their facilities after we had finished on the beach. All in all we had a very good experience.

Excellent location. The rooms are clean, a good size and have a great small balcony. We found the hotel incredibly helpful to Americans by offering us sit down map tour of the area just as we checked in. Highly recommended for a reasonable place to stay near all the action.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a standard room. The hotel is very charming and very well presented. Our room very good for a standard room and we couldn't have asked for more. The room had a nice long balcony looking over the street and despite the busy road, the room was very quiet and we were not disturbed at all. The room was nicely decorated with a very good bathroom. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the free bar on an evening was a nice idea, we stopped for a drink here before heading out. The hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes walk to the shops and restaurants and another 5 minutes walk gets you to the beach. We did not have breakfast as it was quite expensive at 18 euros each and due to how close the hotel is to the cafes and restaurants we decided to go out for breakfast every day. I would highly recommend this hotel and if I am to visit cannes again this hotel will be my first choice.

My wife and I travelled to Cannes for two nights (Sept 22-24). We called the morning of the 22nd. The attendant was very quick to help and answered all my questions. I mentioned that my wife and I were in France on our Honeymoon. When we arrived at the hotel a gift and a hand-written note was waiting for us and we had received an upgraded room. Not just any room but their Rotunda room with a great view of the city, private terrace and very unique layout. Needless to say, it was more than we could have hoped for! When we arrived, the clerk offered us beverages while we checked in and provided us with several restaurant recommendations all while plotting them out on the map. Later in the evening, all the guests are invited to a "happy hour"; all the supplies for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are at your disposal and at no charge from about 6pm to 9pm. Every morning there is a continental breakfast with home made pies and other goodies- again at no extra charge.

After checkout they stored our bags while we spent the day shopping and on the beautiful beaches of cannes. Upon our return to the hotel they offered us a place to change and shower after a long day at the beach.

I could go on and on but suffice it to say that Hotel Le Cavendish sets the standards for quality, service and value. Absolutely one of my favourite hotels!

Room Tip: If arriving by train, this hotel is literally 200m (1/8 mi.) from the station.

We just stayed for one night as a stopover on our way to Moustiers Sainte Marie. We had a lovely evening strolling around town. The hotel had valet parking, which was great since it took us 25 minutes to drive 800 m down blvd Carnot because of the construction. Also note: there is construction in front of the hotel. Bring earplugs. The bed was extremely comfortable though so it made up for it. Lovely staff. Great breakfast!

Such lovely staff, so helpful and friendly. Beautifully quirky old style building - loved the old style lift, the traditional furniture, even the slightly sloping floor. Bed very comfortable, unobtrusive air conditioning, and lovely bathroom. Excellent breakfast and superb free evening drinks and nibbles just complete a perfect stay. Emma even sorted out transport for us when the French public service had a one day strike! Very convenient location too - all the main parts of Cannes no more than a stroll away. Had the beach package - worth doing! Would definitely stay here again - so much more character than bigger, modern chains.

Room Tip: We went for a superior room which was perfect for two.
