“Highly recommend”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

From the moment we arrived at the hotel reception we were impressed with the friendliness and helpful staff. We had a delux room which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was great and the pillows even better. The hotel location was very central to the centre of Cannes, train station and beach. The breakfast was perfect and the free bar was very pleasant to chill in.i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the Cannes area. I would like to thank the staff for making my stay a very memorable one.

The hotel has old world charm, but the facilities are up to date. That said, the lift is from a 1920's spy film and just adds to the charm. All of the staff are excellent and were very helpful. They all spoke good English, but would let me try out my poor French and were very understanding. The receptionists were helpful with information about Cannes and the hotel has a discount with a private beach club and they provide towels.
The breakfast was good, mainly cold, but I believe they would cook an omelette. Happy hour, from 6 pm to 9 pm, was an added bonus and very generous.
They have an unusual way of categorizing the rooms. The superior is the lowest grade and the deluxe is the medium grade. We had a superior rooms which was fine, with a comfortable bed. The en-suite was a touch on the small side, but perfectly adequate. We also had a balcony. The hotel is about ten minutes walk from the sea-front, but there are regular buses, if you don't fancy the walk. In fact, the Airport Express bus and the bus to Grasse stop right outside the hotel, so transport links are very good.
We would return to Le Cavendish again.

We just finished a 5-night stay in this hotel. It is very close to the Cannes train station and a 5-minute walk to the Croisette, beach, and the old town. There are 4 things that set this hotel apart from (and make it better than) most others. First, the hotel has a fantastic complete buffet breakfast. The variety and quality of the items is great. Second, there is also a wonderful happy hour from 6-9pm each evening. There is a full bar and light appetizers. Third, the rooms are quite nice, especially the rotunda rooms. Last (and most important) is the incredible level of customer service given by each and every member of the hotel staff. They all made us feel like visiting family, not hotel guests. Special thanks go to Andrea, Raoul, Thomas, and Emma. I don't know how the hotel hires so many truly caring employees! We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this hotel.

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for this great comment . I pay very much attention on the fact that the whole staff reflects the atmosphere we want to get in the hotel : a private demeure rather than a classic hotel. Even if we have implemented all 4 * standards, this is so great that you do remember some of our key people.
So on behalf of Andrea, Raoul, Emma and Thomas MANY THANKS ...

Looking forawrd to welcoming you back ,
Christine WELTER

We arrived to a friendly welcome with a lovely glass of Provence Rosè. We had requested a room on the top floor which we were given and they also changed the rooms around so we could be near our friends who we were travelling with us. All the staff were very helpful. The breakfast delicious and the open bar in the evening was great - all very civilised! Our room was clean and spacious with original features. The location of the hotel is perfect, a short walk to La Croisette, the old town and lots of restaurants - something for everyone. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and if I was in the area again I would certainly make a reservation.
The only fault I found were the pillows - they were dreadful, very difficult to sleep on and gave me neck ache, please replace them with something more comfortable, feather perhaps?
But apart from that everything was perfect!

We stayed in April for 6 nights our friends stayed for 3 nights.

From the start of the booking process to the day we left everything was perfect, every member of staff were totally professional and went out of their way to make our stay first class, the room was clean the food was excellent.

We would like to say a special thanks to Emma for all the help and advice she gave us.

Christine you should be proud of your team and the standards they work to, we have stayed in many hotels around the world and Le Cavendish is up there with the best of them.

Thank you.

We spent two nights in this beautiful little hotel and were very happy with our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable with a little balcony overlooking the street. The staff were friendly and really helpful. It was just a short walk down to La Croissette and the Mediterranean shore. If we ever return to Cannes, I hope we can stay again at Le Cavendish!

Room Tip: The sign in the room showed a very wide range of prices. We were able to get the lowest rate, perha...

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this hotel. It was part of my birthday celebration and was made so special by the staff. We were upgraded to a room on the 4th floor with a huge balcony, free of charge! The room had lots of original features and french charm. The room was absolutely show stopping and we enjoyed breakfast delivered to our private terrace one morning which was amazing. The breakfast was delicious and the free bar added a buzzy atmosphere to the hotel, bringing everyone together between 7-9pm. The location is perfect- within walking distance to everything. The best asset of this hotel however is the staff, who were friendly, chatty, helpful and made us feel that nothing was too much to ask. Thomas was especially kind and accommodating. I would 100% recommend this hotel
