“I never want to stay anywhere else!”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

We had a wonderful time. From the moment we walked in, we had glasses of wine thrust into our hands. "I am going to like this place!"

The staff could not be nicer. The room was terrific. Breakfast was wonderful, etc etc etc. The elevator is a work of art.

If you look on the map, the hotel looks a walk from the beach, but rest assured, after a day (or night) of endulgence in food and wine, a brief walk back to the hotel is welcome. We were out too the wee hours several nights but never had any problems when walking back to the hotel (you pass the main Cannes police station on the way).

We spent several days sprawled out on the private beach. A descrite tip upon arrival made sure that we had good spots all week and excellent service....the food and beverages are reasonably priced and excellent.

I cannot stress enough how wonderful the experience was.....recommend the hotel to my friends? Absolutely!

Room Tip: If an upgrade is available, go for it. You will not be disapointed!

We booked on recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed.
The bus direct to Cannes from Nice airport stopped right outside le Cavendish and our amazing holiday began.
The staff, warm and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, they are all lovely and we would like to single out Emma on reception and Concierge Rauf, very attentive, fun and utterly professional. You can tell every member of staff have the customers best interest at heart.
The hotel, a singular and uniquely charming boutique hotel, nothing fancy or pretentious but full of character and very clean.
We initially had a few reservations with the potential for noise as the hotel situated right on a busy road but the soundproofing is excellent and we slept beautifully. The bedrooms are spacious, well presented and very clean.
The continental breakfast is so varied and plentiful, it practically keeps you going all day long. Again the service from the staff is full on attentive and nigh on perfect.
As for the complimentary bar between 18:00 and 21:00, what can you say? The quality and variety of the drinks on offer is of a high quality and they keep on coming, exceptional.
To sum it all up - Le Cavendish set the scene for our holiday to the wonderful city of Cannes and we most definitely will be back for more. Thank you to all the staff at Le Cavendish, thank you to a unique and chic hotel, the combination of which have given us memories we will treasure.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Le Cavendish to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The hotel was excellent in every way and the staff were helpful and friendly. They also spoke excellent English and could not do enough for us. The location of the hotel for us was perfect - a 10 minute stroll from the beaches and restaurants and 5 minutes to the train station. Breakfast was excellent and served up to 10.30 and there is an open (free) bar in the evening for drinks and snacks before dinner. We will be back!

Charming hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. After check-in the receptionist goes with you up to your room to show around and gives some details about the hotel.
Since it is not a palace hotel (on the Croisette) the price is okay/fair, considering that everything is hugely over priced during the high season (August) in Cannes.
My room was located on the street parallel to Blvd Carnot and it was very quiet. There is no restaurant attached to the hotel but you are surrounded by about a million of them in each direction. And there is a very good buffet breakfast and an open (free) bar that runs from 5 pm to around 9 pm. The beach is about 5 to 10 minutes walking.
It is not a trendy, modern hotel, but more something rustique and elegant and with a very old-fashioned lift; it is an iron cage with an outer and inner door that you need to slide open. Much like the one in the James Bond movie Diamonds Are Forever where Bond has a fight with Mr. Franks who he is impersonating.
All in all, very charming and very recommended.

Room Tip: My room was on Rue Bucquet (parallel to Bvd Carnot) and was very quiet (Bvd Carnot can be a bit busy...

There is only one small downside to Le Cavendish and that it their hotel entrance which is a little dark and does not portray the true charm of the hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and provided with amenities found in boutique hotels. The staff are incredible - I travel extensively and I have never met such helpful, genuine and friendly staff. They went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant. The hotel is situated in an excellent location, with 2-3 minute walks to either the train and bus stations, Le Croisette and the beaches and is mid-way to the delightful old city of Cannes. The hotel also provides vouchers to assist one use a private beach club, which was lovely.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Staff was warm, genuine and helpful (no French attitude). The morning breakfast and evening free drinks were above par. The location is excellent. The rooms are spotless and well-maintained. I will certainly stay here in the future. The hotel staff deserves praise for the effort they put in to make my stay so seamless.

A sweet and charming little hotel in the center of Cannes. Clean rooms, nice but small breakfast buffet (Coldcuts, Fresh fruits, pasteries, lovely bread etc) , a generous Open bar every night and friendly staff. Cosy atmosphere in the bar/lounge area. I was there with my mother one week ago and we stayed for four days, I would really recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates a chic and relaxed city hotel! Hanna, Stockholm Sweden
