“Style and an excellent value”

While this hotel is about an eight minute walk from the sea front it is in a nice area of town and less than a five minute walk from the train station. The national police station is less than 100 years away and we never worried about safety even coming back very late at night. It is also located about twenty yards from the bus stop for the bus to and from the Nice airport so if your without a car this is a great place to stay.

Our room, 240, was on what in the US we would refer to as the third floor and was very quite. If you want to take a nap in the afternoon just lower the metal shades and the room is dark and totally quite. Everything in the room was in good order and kept spotless by the attentive staff.

The hotel does not have a dinning room but a number of decent places to eat are located within a block and some quite good spots within three blocks. We had breakfast and found it good but not remarkable. The open bar in the evening, from 5:30 to 10:30, is free and well stocked. Given the price of mixed drinks in France this was quite a treat to sit and play cards before dinner while enjoying the bar and snacks.

I found the hotel very stylish and while it is not on the waterfront the proximity to the train station and the airport bus was a real plus for us. I found the staff very helpful and i almost forgot to mention you can get wifi in your room or you can use the free computer they provide in the lounge to make reservations and book travel elsewhere.

Privately owned and operated hotel, run by Madame and her team, she is often around and is a warm and friendly hostess. Old classic style building, recently renovated. Cozy lobby and check-in area and fabulous old Parisian style lift, max. occupancy 1. Complimentary bar and hors d' in the evening, excellent. Breakfast too included, with many delightful home baked items. Rooms are average to good size and bathrooms too, nicely appointed. As hotel is on main road, some traffic noise, but closing the shutters at night keeps 90% of noise and light out. Its a 3 minute walk to Rue d'Antibes shops and 5 minutes to La Croisette and Le Palais, a bit further to the old port.

Excellent value, charming staff and a refreshing change from the old and overpriced grand hotels on the seafront.

I have been for a business trip to Cannes, and have decided to stay this time at Cavendish. First of all it is not a centrally located hotel, you have to cross the highway and to walk 5 min. to reach the center.
The hotel is differently furnished, but need refurbishment at all. the second morning when I woke up,I had a big bug in the basin of the toilet. When I delivered it to the hotel staff, they told me it was the first time ,that this has happened. Then they offered me a bottle of champagne, which has never appeared, and also to change my room.
The next day, when I woke up in my new room, this time a smaller bug was walking in the toilet !!
I caught it and put it into a transparent mug, closing the top, with the report of cleaning service !!
If anyone needs an adventure,in Cannes,it is highly recommended, but I myself will never go to this hotel.
Against all these adventures,I must thenk to the hotel staff, for their friendly and positive approach, and for the very warm interest.

We have just returned from our third visit to this splendid hotel, and found it just as good as before. This year we took my sister and husband and they were most impressed with the rooms, cleanliness of the hotel, and the wonderful breakfasts. We admitted that what makes it so special is that all members of staff are so friendly and helpful.Emma dealt with our booking and also sorted out some restaurants for us.The free evening bar situation is such a great idea-other 5star hotels should take note-----small is beautiful!

Le cavendish is a lovely hotel with excellent staff, beautiful decor, particularly the vintage lift and the rotonde rooms. Free bar for guests betwenn 5pm and 11pm is great. The location is great, 5 mins from the train station and the centre of cannes. Also the direct bus service from Nice airport will drop you at the door if you ask the driver.
In all we LOVED it!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Le Cavendish. Staff was very warm, friendly and helpful. They were very accomodating and went the extra step to make sure we had a great stay. In addition, our room was terrific. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the bathroom was full of amentities uncommon with European hotels. During our visit the hotel offered complimentary beach chairs to the private beaches, complimentary breakfests, and a happy hour that included snacks in the lobby every evening. The location of the property was also conveniently located to the downtown, the train station for day trips, and the beaches. I have no complaints about the hotel and I would definitely consider staying at the hotel again.
