“Sparkling Jewel and Relaxation”

We spent 3 amazing days in Eze and could not have loved this hotel more! Set in the medieval town of Eze the rooms are scattered around the village and practically carved into the hill side. We were delighted upon check-in to have received a delightful room upgrade! Gorgeous room with sea view and literally a "cave" for a bathroom. It was bright, big and beautifully appointed.
The staff was so helpful in setting up dinner reservations and giving directions. One of the best things about this hotel is the glorious sun drenched terraces scattered along the hillside sprawling out into the Mediterranean Sea. We enjoyed our wine while watching the sun set every night among the beautiful art sculptures. We did not dine at the restaurant, but heard it was phenomenal. (my husband and I prefer more "rustic" French cuisine). If going to the south of France skip the hustle of Nice or Monaco and rest in the peaceful village of Eze. You will NOT be disappointed by the view, local, service and absolute decadence!!!!

We were sent here as the Chateau Eza down the road couldnt even offer us a drink. Chevre d'Or were graciously accomodating for an amazing sundowner to top off an amazing day of exploring the coast. We were very grateful for the spot and the experience. The white glove service for dinner seemed a bit over the top for us but the cocktails and service were amazing. Even if you can't afford a night at the hotel find this place!

From the moment we stepped inside this mystical medieval wonderland, a calm washed over and it was a complete new world where we forgot about any stress. The brilliant landscaping and sculptures provide the backdrop for quaint rooms set into the mountainside. Ours was amazing with views of the Riviera and the mountains. The staff was helpful and kept things immaculate. Our only disappointment was the two Michelin star restaurant on site which we did not find star worthy at all. We loved the village with it's winding stone steps, incredible traditional French restaurants, quaint shops and interesting artists eager to share their inspiration with you. We enjoyed day trips to Nice and Monaco, but were happy just to be in our pool/hot tub or on our terrace soaking in the jaw-dropping beauty. It will be difficult to ever top this place.

Room Tip: Room service breakfast menu is limited. Book an Indian therapeutic massage with Emily. Presidential...

Just spent 3 glorious days in this amazing hotel set high above the med and with incredible views from all four restaurants. The standard of the food was probably the best we have ever experienced. Delightful rose wines. Peaceful and relaxing. Helpful and friendly staff, couldn't recommend this hotel enough. We will definitely be back.

From the moment we arrived at Chevre D'Or it was clear that this is no ordinary hotel. The attention to beauty is apparent everywhere you turn. The property was so lovely that we literally did not leave it. Because, indeed, why would one leave a place that is literally heaven on earth. The room was spectacular, and we enjoyed sharing a glass of wine on our little balcony. The gardens are whimsical and lovely, and the view of the sea is breathtaking. We also thoroughly enjoyed our meals at all of the hotel's restaurants. We truly look forward to returning to this magical spot.

We stayed at Chateau de la Chevre d’Or for two nights on our ‘minimoon’. I’d say we’re not their usual guests; we don’t normally stay at five-star hotels on holiday (although I am lucky enough to experience this through my work) and this was the most money we’d ever spent on a hotel! The reason we chose to stay here was because of the location, the gardens and the sea views – and it didn’t disappoint. Medieval Eze is beautiful and has so much character, and the hotel’s terraced grounds, with various pieces of art and chill-out areas with epic views, are incredible. The staff – from the security guys to the ladies at reception – were so welcoming and the service was fantastic. We also received a room upgrade to one within the private hotel area, with a balcony and a huge bathroom, as well as a bottle of wine. In summary I’d say that this is so much than a five-star hotel. It’s unique!

This was a unique and very special experience. The "hotel" consists of twenty some individual homes in narrow, winding and steep roads (closed to motor vehicles). Our room had many stairs to climb but it was heaven once we arrived. Lovely furnishings, spa-like bathroom, balcony and spectacular views looking over the Mediterranean. Gardens and outdoor sculptures are all through the property. The restaurants are Michelin star quality - incredible food! We spent two nights which was not enough. Staff was always cheerful, friendly and helpful. Very, very quiet. Ask for a massage on the patio.

Room Tip: Ask for a patio!
