“Very basic”
Reviewed 19 April 2013

This place is very basic. No Internet. Rooms boiling hot. 12 inch TV with nothing but bad french gameshows. Coffee machine but no filters, sugar. Worth about 50 dollars a night if you are feeling generous. The only good thing is the location which is in the town of eze.

Have just spent four nights in Eza vista over Easter in a six berth apartment, cheap & basic. safe & clean. A no frills hotel with friendly & helpful staff. Apartment hotel is on the road, so sometimes can be noisy as the traffic moves past very fast! Car park in front of the hotel is only very small so parking a big hire car was always stressful!
The supermarket down the road is fabulous & has everything you could ever need.... But if you don't want to cook there are some super cafe/ bar restaurants in the village that offer a great menu choice & good service.
A great place for families on a budget!

From the photos I expected something lovely but then again as a professional photographer i know how deceptive you can make things.

Eze is a lovely medieval town and the hotels within it are amazing and insanely expensive. This is as close you will get to it without breaking the bank.

We had a two room, suite/ appt...Main bedroom was nice. Bright, big french doors. Our room was small, no light, miserable. So much so that I wanted to leave but couldn't find anywhere else.

The main appt is large but the view from the balcony is nothing much. A quiet road in front where coaches go down....that's it.

The pool is poor, cramped and right by the busy road.

The internet is expensive and only available in the lobby...this 2012...come on now!!!

Not my favourite place by far!

Room Tip: Don't stay here.

We stayed for a couple of nights and found it totally relaxed, convenient & comfortable. We just drove right in without reservations and they were able to fit us in. It was a great base for sight seeing in the area. Monaco was close as was Nice and the staff were friendly & helpful with directions. The rate is reasonable although they should include WIFI in the rooms without charge. For breakfast we picked up coffee and baked goods at the little bakery next door. There was also plenty of restaurants & a corner grocery store closeby so it worked well for us. We would definately stay there again and would recommend it.

We booked our non-refundable pre-paid accommodation in January for November, and we have recently received advice that Eza Vista management have cancelled our booking as they have just decided to close the entire premises down for renovations. We were already travelling in Europe at the time of notification so this caused significant distress and inconvenience, and the alternative suitable accommodation we have arranged is somewhat more expensive. Contact with hotel staff has been good and refund has been sent through, however due to internaional exchange rates and fees we are about $50.00 out of pocket. Not Impressed

Clean, comfortable, well stocked apt. hotel. Friendly attentive staff. All the basic conveniences you need. Except Wi-Fi reception is very unreliable, it's only in the Lobby and there is a charge. Don't plan on spending time on-line you will just get frustrated. Besides it's a vacation, right. Great view from our room on the top floor. It sits on a hill so the Lobby is on the top floor but it is really the street level.
We, the 6 of us shared a 2 bedroom with pull-out sofa bed. The sofa bed mattress was surprisingly very comfortable. We used up every inch of the space and still had room to move around each other. Oh yeah the 2 bedroom has 1.5 baths which is a plus for 6, but they don't mention that on the websites. Continental Breakfast is a waste of money when you can go next door or down the street to a cozy side walk village Cafe. Everything is walkable. Public transportation is great for Day trips. Bus 83 & 112 for 1 Euro will get you just about anywhere, Monaco, Nice...and to the train station for Cannes, Antibes, Italy, etc. Above all you must take a walk up the hill to the Eze Medieval Village, narrow stone paved walking paths, Cafe, Shops, Hotel, gorgeous views. If you're looking for a South of France chilled vacation spot with "uncommonly friendly" French folk, stop here for at least a couple of days.

Room Tip: Get a room on top floor, balcony faces the beautiful view of Cote Azure. Downside is because it'...

The room we lived in was a two bedroom flat, with a small kitchen.
The service was okay, and generally things were functionel.
We lived at the first floor, and if we should return, which is absolutely possible, we would like to live at that floor again. Maybe yhe wiev from the flats on the level 2 and 3 is better, but there is a road with lots of motorbikes racing behind the hotel, and the noise on level 1 is less. Dont take the lovest level there is no view, and a lot of busses climbing down to a perfumeri is driving there through the daytime. Dont spend yoru time in this beautifull city by visitng Fragonard perfumeri. It is a genuine torist trap.
Dont miss the botanical garden at the very top of the castle. It is stunnunig.
We would choose this hotel again if we come back

Room Tip: If you are noise sensitiv choose a room on level 1. If you can live with a bit of trafic noise and g...
