“A mesmerising look at the 'beauty of the ordinary'.”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

It never fails to inspire me every time we come to grasse. Even though the town is normally associated with perfumeries, for us their is a twin attraction,of the museum and the walks following Napoleon's route into the mountains.

the museum creates a complete and engrossing look at everyday life in eastern Provence since prehistoric times. Its a mesmerising look at the beauty of the ordinary

“Get a look at past times”
Reviewed 22 July 2013

Everything you have ever wanted to know about...... faience pottery to toys, furniture, costumes and paintings.
... to evoke the past..
Its located in an 18th century mansion featuring archeology, ethnology and art history.
In a town of perfumeries, this makes an interesting diversion.

“Interesting and lots to see!”
Reviewed 30 June 2013

A very nice collection of various everyday and special items from the past. From clothing to jewels to weaponery, it's all here. Also some acheological finds are displayed from a nearby site. Definitely worth a stop if in Grasse buying perfume or other Provencal gifts.
