If you like to see things first hand and if you like to get a real indication of how things are made you will love this olive oil mill and shop. The owner, Alexandre, is humble but in time he reveals the passion, commitment, and expertise he has for his business.
As we toured the mill we learned about the differences between the old methods and the new methods and the challenges of owning and operating a small business while tasting a dazzling array of olive oils, tapenades, and floral honeys.
Alexandre has degrees in agriculture and culinary arts so he approaches his products from all points of view. He was also great with the kids. He got them to try things I could never get them to try at home.
If you want a short side trip that feels off the beaten path that is close to the perfume attractions of Grasse then you should stop by and see Alexandre.
