“Absolutely wonderful stay”

Can't say enough about how gracious and helpful Cathy, the manager was. La Rivolte is a beautiful property with a lovely view of Grasse. Our bedroom was nice and spacious with large windows that opened to a beautiful view. Also 2 large beautiful rooms on the lower floor with many books and a nice plasma tv with tons of DVD's for the use of the guests. Also a great heated pool is on the grounds. Another plus, walking distance into town, 10 mins. Great breakfast served in a charming kitchen on the cooler days and outdoors on the warmer days. We enjoyed out time there, very much

We decided to end our 6 week trip with a week on the Cote d'Azur to chill out (and thaw out) before our long trip back home to Australia. We had been through Grasse a number of years ago and decided that it would be a good base from which to explore this beautiful area. We discovered La Rivolte on the internet and made contact with Cathy (the manager) via email. She couldn't have been more helpful.

We couldn't believe our luck when we arrived - stunning views and delightful accommodation. We had the Jasmin room on the first floor which had supurb views over the Bay of Cannes and it's own private balcony. The building and grounds are beatifully kept. The bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas were all spotlessly clean. The heated pool was perfectly positioned in an ancient olive grove.

Cathy was a gem. She gave us some great pointers for day trips, local markest, wining and dining etc. She has managed La Rivolte for 10 years, so she knows the surrounding area inside out.

The bustling old town of Grasse is an easy five minute stroll away, and yet La Rivolte was a haven of serenity - green, calm, quiet and peaceful.

We explored hill towns and beaches from La Rivolte, nowhere was very far away.

If you are after a quiet, relaxing, peaceful holiday, staying in a beautiful old villa with stunning views, then you can't go past La Rivolte. We will be back!

We stayed at La Rivolte a couple of years ago, in which the area, accommodation and welcome of the Villa, exceeded all our expectations. We both work with in the hotel industry in management positions, hence it was a pleasure for us both to relax and be so well looked after. As we are involved in the holiday and accommdation sector you do "try" to look for any faults or improvements that can be made.....La Rivolte proved us wrong within all aspects, as the rooms were beautifully decorated, comfortable, equipt with the neccessary amenities, and made our stay a memorable one! To have Breakfast on the terrace, or within the lovely dining area, and to sit by the pool in the warm sun is all you ask for a delightful, relaxed break away from it all. 10/10.

When we first arrived at la rivolte i was completely bowled over by the stunning views. Instantly we were made to feel welcome and totally relaxed by the very helpful "Cathy", who has run the house for several years. Having travelled and stayed in many different guest houses la rivolte comes out on top for us. It has a certain 'magical' quality. Although we had planned to get out and travel around we found ourselves totally happy just to relax by the pool and take in the fantastic atmosphere of this unique and beautiful place.

We will be back very soon.

We stayed at La Rivolte as we were visiting the grand prix in Monaco. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that good but we still had a wonderful relaxing four days. The welcome we received from Cathy upon arrival was very warming. The lounges you can use and even the possibility to watch your favourite programmes on Sky well away make this hotel have a very homely feel.

We stayed in the Jasmin room and it was lovely. The bathroom was massive and the view from the juliette balconies were stunning.

During our stay we visited Cannes, Monaco and Grasse. Cannes was about 30 mins drive, Monaco 40 mins and Grasse centre is walking distance. Nice is also about 40 mins away and St Tropez about 90 mins. This hotel is therefore very central, but I think you would be lost without a car.

The hotel itself wasn't easy to find. There are no signs for it and we stumbled upon the entrance by chance. I think this is because it is let out in the summer and therefore the sign posting isn't there like for many other hotels.

In summary we loved everything about our stay, the room, breakfast, hospitality, the cats, gardens, views and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this region of France.

I was looking for something typical of the region in every way. La Rivolte has an authentic, comfortably furnished atmosphere and decor. The 18th century building is beautifully preserved, each bedroom is dfferent in colour and fabric but still decorated in the typical provencal way.

John and Cathy are very friendly and helpful. The welcome is very warm, this B&B has a very homely feel to it, complete with two cats .....

La Rivolte is perfectly situated up in the hills of Grasse with a breathtaking view down into the valley and the old town. You are walking distance from anything in Grasse.

The gardens and pool are incredible and you'd be forgiven for thinking you'd landed on a period piece film set ...... A small example of the Cote d'Azur at its best.

I was travelling to the Côte d'Azur for a wedding and stayed at La Rivolte for a long week-end. The villa, located on one of the hills overlooking Grasse, is very beautiful and has preserved its homely feel. It is in walking distance from the center of the city but is very secluded and you feel miles from the city. My room was spacious with a beautiful view of the pool and, in the distance, of the sea. The breakfast was copious and I enjoyed talking with other people on the sunny terrace. Cathy, the manager, was very heplful in providing information on the activities and the good spots in the area. If you are looking for a good place to stay while in Grasse or in Nice, La Rivolte is a very good choice. I know I'll come back.
