Set off from Grasse along good roads to Gourdon. Arrived early, not very busy, to admire the views and the village (great for little shops). Followed the gorge along windy roads alongside the river before climbing back up to the lovely village of Tourettes sur Loup. Great small shops and artist galleries inside a walled village perched high on a hilltop.
The day was completed by a visit to the incredibly busy St.Paul de Vence. A walled village, similar to Carcasonne or Mont St Michel. Unfortunately it was chock full of visitors (so goodness knows what the high season would be like) but well worth the visit.
Parking however was expensive to discourage long stays I think!!
