Friendly staff, great location, comfortable rooms, nice pool with great sun-lounges.
Right in the centre of the old town with great bars, restos and shops close by. A really nice place to relax and chill out.

We stayed here for a week in June having found it on the Internet. Private parking for the car whilst on a driving holiday was a big pull for us. The car park was fully enclosed with security gates for total piece of mind when relaxing by the pool. Our room was on the ground floor in the Jasmine block and had a small private area in the shade. The room was more traditional French than luxury modern and could have done with a freshen up but nothing that would spoil our stay. The pool is small but the hotel is in the old town and I was surprised there was a pool at all. It is a lovely place to unwind and have a cool drink. The courtyard where outside dining is recommended is quite increadible and you really do feel you are a million miles from the city. It is a beautiful setting and the food is excellent. The menu is not the most comprehensive but everything is beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. There are other restaurants in the old town and the harbour area to try. There is now a nice walk down the "canal" to the harbour area which takes about 35 minutes and the centre of the old town is a 5 minutes walk. The hotel is for me in the perfect location and we will definitely stop here again when we revisit Frejus.

We followed the great reviews of others in Trip Advisor and fully concur with others that this is a special place. We have been coming to Old Frejus of and on since the 1960s and seen the changes around which have fortunately not scarred the Old Centre. The Arena is situated close to the Roman Arena and a short walk from the station yet so peaceful.

The rooms are small but so is the price however the ambience is exquisite the pool sublime and never crowded

The cuisine is to die for do not miss the Duck with Cummquats ..

We traveled with excellent Railbookers on the TGV from London again highly recommended

Room Tip: Choose a better room if you can afford it

Wonderful food, excellent service, good value, great atmosphere.

Frejus village is not as nice as it used to be because several independant shops and Resteraunts have closed down due to the difficult economic climate.
It only takes 25 mins to walk down to the Port at Frejus and we think it makes good sense to stay in a lovely hotel like The Hotel Arena where we were made to feel so welcome . The standards are much higher and therefore the value for money is greater than the bussy hotels at the promenade.

We will definitely return .

A very convenient location right in the old centre of Frejus. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Also, despite being near to a busy raod and the railway station it was very quiet due to the double glazing. The welcome was very friendly and helpful (you have to unload in front of reception as there is no direct access from the car park which was around the corner). The breakast at €15 was rather expensive as the slection was limited so if we stayed again we would go out for breakfast as the hotel is near a good selection of places to eat in the old town. But overall we had a pleasant stay.

We stayed here 4 days in September 2012. We had booked a discounted room on a website which happened to be a room without any windows. My wife didn't like that a lot and we asked the (always) smiling receptionist if we could have another room. We were given a 'preestige' room down by the pool-area - for the same price. Good start.

The hotel is quite charming and our room was spacious and clean. The personel in this hotel was very polite and helpful all the time. The breakfast bouffe is OK to be french (150 €, not included). We never did try the resto - it is probably the most expensive in Frejus ('formule' starts on 40 €) but the place did look nice.

Parking was not included but we didnt have much problems finding free spaces on walking distance (5 minutes away from hotel and main streets).

If you're in need of WiFi, you may have a small problem. No connection in our room - had to move out in the reception area and even there the quality and capasity was limited.
